Hidden Mist Village (Naruto)

Posted in Custom Workstation

I'm looking to create custom figures of Zabuza Momochi (multiple versions), Kisame Hoshigaki, and Suigetsu Hozuki. Depending on how well those go I could create more.

I prefer the scale to be in 6".

I have no resources as it stands. I need to find out the base body I want for each and then the fodder parts to customize it. I have literally no figures around to work with, so I'm going to have to buy everything.

If any of you guys could help me figure out what base figure to use and where to get it, as well as fodder parts, that'd be great.

Any advice at all is welcome.

For Zabuza, I'd like to make his bare-chested first appearance, his black garbed second appearance, his Jounin outfit from flashbacks, and a What-If appearance of what he would look like from Leaf (where the heroes are from).

For Kisame I was thinking of making him with his underclothes and then having a separate, removable cloak.

Suigetsu's appearance is straight-forward - just the purple/gray outfit he usually wears.

I'd also have to sculpt the swords since I doubt the one available is big enough.

EDIT:: I was thinking of using Marvel Legends for the base figures. I was thinking of using Bullseye for the Zabuza/s, which would necessitate a different, thicker base body for Kisame, and something smaller (maybe Bucky?) and younger for Suigetsu.

For everyone to know, my sculpting skills are novice at best, and will be restricted to things like weapons and hair if necessary. Also, I had some reservations about the Bullseye figure because of the plate around his chest/shoulders. Is that removable or is it seamless, or will I have to file it down?

Lame! I don't have any bullseyes or I'd send it to you. Keep us posted
I'm excited to see what you turn out! I'm a big zabuza fan and have been scouring
Parts to make him as well :]

Check out the trading post, Bullseye is a pretty popular base so I'm sure someone would have some spare hands, maybe post a request in the butchers shop.

I got the bullseye figure and he has two right hands. Wtf!? How can I fix this? I have no idea of where to procure a working LEFT hand of him.

Also, I got a Union Jack for the bulkier body to make a Kisame.

Okay, I have procured a ML Bullseye and a 13 piece modeling tool kit with various edges. Working on some paints (Citadel didn't have a color I could use for the skintone I need so not sure what to get) and on those gashapon. I saw some on ebay but I'm not sure if they're the right size or quality worthy of buying.

Where at? I checked the figure store on FR, didn't see anything Naruto or Gashapon related.

Also, I've been looking at little figurines that seem to have larger heads, but the entire things are anywhere from 1.5 inches to 5 inches tall. Don't know what to buy for the scale.

there're also gashapon suigetsu, I think I saw one before. they sell bootleg anime gashapon's here in our place. it costs approximately $1 a piece. hehe! about another head that you can use for suigetsu.. I don't know... its hard to look for anime looking heads, especially a smirking one. your best bet is to look for cheap anime figures that resembles his face and just resculpt the mouth and hair.

Zabuza is my favorite as well. Once I finish these Hidden Mist characters I would move on to Kakashi. But that's a big if and a long way off. I'm grabbing a Bullseye for Zabuza today. Getting ahold of a Zabuza gashapon will be a bit tougher. Any ideas for a younger looking head for the Suigetsu? I want to include his toothy smirk.

I'm looking forward to this set.. I love anime custom figs. and zabuza is one of my "to-do" list. he's one of my favorite characters. my fave would be kakashi. so I'm thinking of making kakashi and zabuza so I can display them fighting each other.

about the base figures. yeah... going marvel legends is the way to go for the poseability. for the head. there are small naruto trading figures (gashapons) that have small bodies and huge heads. just cut off the body and the heads work perfectly for 6 inch scale figs. (you just have to ectend the chin part with sculpt)

good luck on those naruto customs bro! I'm gonna watch out for them!
