I need some assistance on a figure that I'm working on. I've been using a DC Universe Classics Kamandi figure to make a Superboy figure from issues 50-53 of Connor Kent's first series, from the storyline "The Last Boy of Earth". So far, the work has been going pretty smoothly with no hitches, except for one. In the story, while dressed Kamandi-style, Superboy wears a medallion around his neck that is vaguely reminiscent of the "S" shield. My problem is that I have absolutely no idea how to make this medallion. Can anyone give me an idea or two on how to do this? It would be much appreciated.
Something that small, I'd sculpt out of 'Green Stuff'. I find it easier to work with on small, tiny details (That are thin, and need to be durable). It's the same material used by Warhammer 40K modelers to position arms, sculpt detail, etc. and can be found at any hobby store that sells miniatures usually.
Sculpt it or cut the shape from plastic and paint it. Then put the medallion on a bit of chain or string (however it is shown in the comic). I don't know what it looks like so thats about all I can recommend.
