need help getting this head to look right on a body

Posted in Custom Workstation

I seem to have under estimated how big the body was which sUcks hard as the head is perfect. Any ideas how to make it look a bit more normal? I figured it wasn't the character's suit to start with so it would be a bit big maybe and the helmet would add some size.

Actually I went with the body the head came with and she loved it. I cut up the DS 2 body for parts and put them on the Power girl armory body and it looks good.

What I would do would be the following (and this has happened a couple of times to me). Also if you are happy with this head.
As you need to shrink a bit the neck, I would cut it down (with ball joint and everthing). To do this, I cut out transversally across the neck with the dremel's circular thingy and leaving a bit of extra neck (the thick part) below the ball joint.
Doing the previous, sometimes can take out enough neck height (as some material turns to dust) so that you can glue back the peg piece.
Other times, the peg piece gets destroyed so I get a nice round headed screw and replace the peg with that, then I resculpt around the neck a bit to hide the screw. If you do this right, sometimes you get a nice finish as it looks as some kind of collar coming out of inside the suit.
Hope this helps

I'll have to see. I was hoping not to have to use the Armory Powergirl body the head came with so I could resell it an dmake some cash back.

Would you be able to remove the black part of the neck (part above the orange collar bit) and replace it with a smaller neck from a different figure? That would solve the problem of the peg being to big and would help give the illusion that the armor is to big for her.

hate to have to do that as I already burnt nearly 40.00 on the parts. I was thinking the neck is a bit too think. I know I would have to drill the hole in the head larger to fit on the peg.

One thing I could suggest is make the neck much shorter then it should be(shoulder coming up to the jawline or maybe even the ears). This would give the illusion that the female is slightly undersized for the suit, as most women are smaller then men. Other then that you need to look for a body of the right size to the head and start sculpting the heck out of it.
That's what I got.

It's a custom of my friend's deadspace character she does in an online RP. Since the armors are unisex I figured I could put the head on there but the DS 2 figures were bigger than I had thought.

I don't recognize who you are trying to make, if I did I could make some suggestions. Pictures, or links to pictures?
