DCUC Broken Leg

The ring that holds the leg to the hip on a custom DCUC figure I'm working on broke so that it doesn't clasp the leg. Just wondering if anyone knows a good way to fix this or if I'm better off just putting on a new leg. I'm a little hesitant to do that since I'm done with most of the paint apps and would rather avoid having to drill and pop the hips open again, especially since I already superglued them back together once. Anyone with thoughts?

I went through something similar with a marvel peg aside fromvthe screw trick ( which didn't work) I found nothing. some things sadly aren't salvageable. Hope someone can help ya dude.

I wound up using another leg, but even with it detached I can't figure out how to fix this, so if anyone with more experience knows the trick please lmk.
