With the overhauled figure gallery comments system, users are no longer allowed to post URLs or image links when commenting -- essentially banning the posting of link-backs to a customers own website, or for posting additional shots (and a resolution higher than 600x600).
I understand the financial need for this - FR needs people to contribute cash for benefits like this. However, allowing .jpg images when posting images in a comment thread is useful for answering questions, or illustrate a figure/part choice.
I feel the whole process of this down-grade needed more transparency to avoid the sneaky vibe I'm getting from it. :-|
Update: I just realized that every URL and Image link that was posted in a comment on a Gallery figure is gone/stripped away by the new system. Ridiculous.
totally understand, I am disabled and have money issues. When I don't the realm shall feel my appreciation, this is one of the best sites on the net. Will or is there a way to check replies on custom showcase comments, closer to the old system? If not I will get use to it. It just takes a while, I am a little slow.
I understand it, but also understand the reality. I at the mom ent have not donated money...I am house poor. plus in a bind. but once I have some cash I will be donating cause this place has been so good to me.
I agree I am trying to get use to the system, I am only a newbie, so I am struggling a little. I also miss the fact you don't know when someone commented or replied as easy that was one of my favorite features and all of you have said what I thought about other features. I am glad I am not the only one.
It might just work overtime. Maybe some getting-used-to, but for now... I really prefer the old view. You can even see there how many guys viewed your figure and how many comments it has. It "feels" simpler and more user-friendly too, especially for simpletons like myself .
