Hobbytown USA

Posted in Custom Workstation

Today I went to my local Hobbytown USA in San Antonio, Texas. And OMFG they have EVERYTHING there! It's just too much to take all in at once! They have a HUGE selection of Model Master acryl paints, literally every color you can think of, they have freaking "Clear Orange"! WTF?! They also have a lot of Tamiya color and a few more brands. Also had all the stuff for casting and mold making. Dremels and all the bits for sale seperately. They even had the small size of Aves apoxie right there on the rack! Too much fun for me to handle. I just got a bit for the dremel and a Tamiya color to see how they work out. They have a website too that you can easily find on the internet where you can order stuff too and it's all at a reasonable price, goodbye Hobby Lobby! lol

I'm not sure what part of MN you are in but Hobby Lobby (the one in Rochester) has a lot of that stuff. It has lots of model masters, some nice sculpts (no aves but they do have some good ones), lots of casting supplies, lots of paintbrushes, and airbrush supplies to.

I'm down in Minneapolis. The Hobbytown down here doesn't have any casting stuff, or sculpt stuff. I don't even know if there is a Hobby Lobby near me, I just always go to the Source.

The source it great , I kneed to get there more often but I live near Rochester so it's a little out of my way.

Wow, sounds like the Hobbytown in your area is much much much better than the one in MN.
