DCUC Figure help

Posted in Custom Workstation

Ok guys so recently I bought a loose DCUC Copperhead. Everything was fine on him, his paint was great and all joints were tight, all but one. His right high thigh/ hip joint is real loose. Can you guys give me an easy way to crack open the thigh without having damage noticeable or having to repaint it considering I don't know what color would match up best. If you guys could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Google "figure thread joint fix video", or something like that. I saw this guy tighten a shoulder joint with thread and did it to one of my own. It is really simple, works well and does absolutely no damage at all. Check it out.

I've had this problem before with figures that I didn't want to damage. What I did is I carefully separated the mold seam with and exacto blade(this takes ages but doesn't do any damage to the figure) after that rap a little bit of masking tape around the loose joint and then glue the tape on. After that glue the waist back together carefully so that you don't get glue on the outside.
