Any one have any tips on weapons

I'm trying to make a figure and I need weapons such as Knives and Guns mainly 2 pistols....does anyone no where to get any and the correct Scale for a 6" figure.....I would prefer not to buy a whole figure just for the weapons I would jus rather know where I could find them but if know one knows then I will just have to Buy a Figure!!
