Would you sell your customs by the team or individually?

Posted in Custom Workstation

I have a specific example, but I would like to question to be opened up generally as well.

I am ebaying my custom Hellfire Club group and I'm wondering if I should sell them as a lot or piece them off as individuals? While I think my Sebastian Shaw, White Queen, and Selene would do well on their own, Harry Leland and Pierce on the other hand may be a tough individual sale.

I had this same dilema a few years back when I sold the Wrecking Crew.

What is everyone else's philosophy, whether it be the examples above or say a group like the 80's Outback X-Men, or the Power Pack or whatever?

My phulosophy is always sell seperately. Either they bid on the rest or it may bring a commissuon for the complete set. You always make more money seperate and maybe more on a commissuon. I'm not in it for the money but with the price of base figures you'll need the extra cash if you want to keep customizing.

I would think it would be logical depending on if it was an individual or a group. I mean, if you're selling the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it's logical to sell them as a group. But if you're selling the members that make up the Avengers, then you could either sell them as a group or individually (as each member are individual characters in their own right).

I would personally sell them seperately, even with ML lots the seller will never get as much for the whole lot as he would selling them seperately. Plus if you sell them seperately buyers will be more compelled to bid on the others so as to complete the set.
