Spray paint problems

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hey everyone, first time forum poster here.

I ran into a problem today with some spray paint. My base figure is assembled from DCUC figures and has a mix of hard and soft/PVC plastics. I used a Krylon spraypaint specifically intended for plastic and PVC but now, the PVC pieces are really "tacky". (I had used some old Tamiya spray paint years ago with great success, so I figured spray was OK)

Can anyone recommend a fix to this that doesn't involve stripping the paint? And if it ends up that I have to strip the paint, what do I use that won't damage the figure?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it's got to come off. The only spray I've had success with are the Tamiyas.

Maybe try using citadel paints rather than spray painting, you'll get much better results.
