DC Heroes Wave 2 problem

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

I picked up Firestorm from a Kmart near me and didn't get a chance to open it till I got home, it was out of town actually, and I discovered a little problem that I wondered if anybody else has encountered.
First of all the figure looked ok, some of the paint was a little, well, it looked smudged off around the chest but nothing I can't fix and the package was mint......but when I opened it up Firestorm has TWO right legs!
Two right legs, his damn LEFT leg is a reversed RIGHT leg, no way to turn it around and fix it cause its so messed up....worst part is it was the only one of the line on the shelf.
Should I call Hasbro and complain, will that get me a anatomically-correct (so to speak ) figure from them?
Taking it back to the store will only get me my money back, but I want Firestorm darnit!!
I love that character....anyhoo, anyone wanna chime in on this with more tales of disfigured figures they have bought or advice for me?

Well, I called MATTEL this morning and talked to a very nice lady who was eager to help me with the problem, they have no replacement parts but she sent out a check for $10 to cover the cost of a new figure, provided I can find another store selling the Wave 2's...so I spent nothing getting it fixed.
Who would thunk it?

I think it's better if you contact Mattel. Although Hasbro might be interested, they won't be any more able to get you a new one than you are

Yeah I want another one but I have to find one first, I have seen the first wave out but didn't know the second wave was out until I saw them on the shelf at the Kmart.....what to do what to do?
Worse comes to worse I could always find another pair of legs to match the body and fix it with that, thanks for the idea mate, now I gotta find a good pair of legs......ignore the innuendo there. LOL

I would just buy another one, it's going to cost you gas and shipping to send them the figure and then you have to wait for your complaint to be processed before they send you a replacement. @_@ Spend that money on another Firestorm and customize it to sell it for profit.

Oh I would send them the poor disfigured Firestorm back, thats no biggie, I mean I remember getting the first comic book that he appeared in and I just love the guy (heterosexually that is ) so I will call them and complain, thanks for the info and sorry about the bad joke I attempted. LOL

You should call them and see what they tell you, it may be considered damaged or missing goods and they'll send you a replacement, provided that you send them the Firestorm first of course.
