Olympic medals

Posted in Custom Workstation

I have recently been trying to decide on how to make life sized olympic medals, couldn't come to a good decision. Any suggestions?

Honestly I think your best bet might be to make a clone of yourself and win two medals in synchronized swimming, that or you could maybe buy a reproduction medal on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss? ... pic+medals

First I would need the medal to cast it .

What were you planning then? I thought you might try sculpting the medal then casting it, or maybe finding a cheap plastic reproduction lol
My local thrift store is putting up their Halloween stuff, so I am hoping I can find one their. The wierd thing is, the thrift store's Halloween section consists of party store merchandise.

You might want to look into sand casting, my dad has used it to make some very detailed casts in metal before. I've never used it but I think it would be worth looking into.
