Ok this is probably stupid simple but I want to be sure about what I'm doing before I do it and potentially break/ruin the figure. I'm trying to remove the head on a Lord of the Rings Weathertop Strider. I didn't know if I should try the boiling method because I wasn't sure if the neck is hard or soft plastic. Does anyone know the best way to go about doing this? Also the figure has a light up feature, I don't know if that makes what his head rests on different. Thanks.
Ok I got the son of a b*tch off (boiling style), it was just a big ball joint. Thanks for your replies everyone. (I'm a super n00b at this stuff, I know)
I tried post a picture of the figure in case someone could tell what kind of peg the head is on by looking at it but it won't let me post links. What does a t-peg look like?
either way, blow dry or boiling water; the plastic will soften. just use care when pulling it off, especially if it is a t-peg like LC is saying. they can be a PITA to remove, but it is possible, just keep working it...
