Marvel Universe - 3 3/4 Scale Marvel Legends

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

So this was kind of a suprise to me. I guess Hasbro is doing a star wars/Indiana Jones-scale line of Marvel Universe toys nearly as articulated as Marvel Legends.

You can see pictures starting here

with their Iron Man. They have a pretty nice line-up already. Supposed to be out spring of 09.

I think they look pretty awesome but I'm also kind of wary that these will replace the large-scale Marvel Legends we've been collecting for so many years. Thoughts?

hey, I'm just a kid, alright? I don't worry about gas prices or oil or anything political. but, if it's going to start involving action figures, maybe I should. $15.00 is ridiculous.

It all comes down to cash. With the rising price of oil, it takes more money to produce larger scale toy's. The same problem hit the original Gi Joe toys. With the rising cost of oil and the fall in their sales, the down sized to the much smaller scale, saved money and started selling more of them.

They look pretty good.

Yeah supposedly that's why Toy Biz scrapped their Build-A-Vehicle line, which was going to have an Avengers Quinjet.

The new Hulk line is already $15 MSRP, so I wouldn't mind a smaller cheaper alternative.

I really like them, they look cool and they might fit in wel lwith the GI Joes and SW figures. The price of Hasbro's toys are gonig up this September. So it'd be cool if they sell these cheap.

I don't see why they don't just make these figures in 6 inch scale. ugh, I hate hasbro. their pre-release pics always look great, but than the actual products are crap.
