IRON MAN HELP!!!

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

hey there, guys!
Sorry about putting you all through that last post, I don't know what I was thinking... Anyways, for the sake of being long winded on a subject that can be cut to one tiny microscopic peanut, aw crud I forgot... WAIT, WAIT, no I remember. For my school's leadership camp and Pali Mtn near Lake Arrowhead, weve been separated into groups of superheroes. since my brother beat the living !@#$ out of a Cavillear (DCI talk) and got an Iron man helmet, I figured I wanted to be in iron man. While scavenger hunting for the supplies such as knee pads, shin guards, gold and hot rod red spray paint,(**which I couldn't buy by myself**) I came across an Iron Man Mark 2 action figure at Kmart. I rarely go there, and theres only 1 or 2 I M figs at my Target and WalMart, which are both Titanium Man, I was bummed to find I went over my budget of $40. If its still there tomarrow, I plan on making THE WORLDS GREATEST IRON MAN! sorry, I just keep telling myself, "think positive". anyway, any tips on making a good Iron man, any color schemes you would like to see, anything? Thanks, guys! (and girls)

For those of you too lazy too read:

not hard, but I tore at least three pegs... luckily on one arm... oi, this is turning out to be much more than a repaint... but I decided a while back that I was gonna put an LED inside his chest as an arc reactor, started tonight, and iron man is in at least 20 pieces on my desk right now lol and

I NEED A COLOR SCHEME PEOPLE BADLY

I did a metallic black base with metallic white I believe for the other areas.

I actually like to find another cheap to do a Metallic Blue with White metallic for the other areas. I like to do maybe a silver metallic face... Hmmm if only I did not have 12 projects going I do it right now. But of course I need another ironman.

There are so many joints on this figure you need to super glue when done. I did one without taking him apart and was a nightmare. I suggest a lot of patience they do turn out real nice. I suggest metallic paints. You can find decent price paints at michaels of joanns.

I have a quick question which would help this person also. How easy is it to boil & take this figure apart? I never tried this thinking maybe so many joints would make it not be worth it. I just wanted a straight repaint for a friend. Once I put a few hours in I wish I tried to boil and take him apart but was to far. If I decide to do another how easy is it to boil and take them apart? I never took apart a figure with joints like this so not sure if stuff would break upon doing it.

I also recommend getting nylon spotter brush for those close to call areas.
