So, customizing is a brand new idea to me, as I discovered this site while researching characters that are extremely expensive or don't exist in 3.75 inch scales. While I'm sure almost 100% of people customize for display, my interest in starting this is a little different. I have a young son that loves the marvel super heroes. We've been building a collection of the characters through local purchases, eBay, and Amazon. All of his characters will eventually be opened and played with, so I'm wondering two things: are custom characters created with Aves epoxie sculpt safe for kids to play with, and will they be sturdy enough? We haven't made purchases on supplies, so any input would be great.
Yes and no. They will be sturdy enough for gentle play or display but depending on the age of your son the play might be gentle or very rough. Also be careful what paints you use on your customs because some are lead lined which is not safe for heavy play.
