Marvel Legends / Complicated Boil and pops

I am trying to disassemble this Ironman to make a Sentinal Drone ala JinSaotome.

The shoulders and hips always seem tougher to get out. Does anyone have any advice on getting these out, and or cracking open the shell of the body?

Also, this is the 6" Hasbro Marvel Legends Neo Classic Ironman from the Epic Heroes assortment, to be clear.

I suggest cracking the torso to remove the shoulders and hips. It's much easier then heat popping them out, JinSaotome has a great tutorial you can follow for it.
