Customizing Star Wars figures

So I'm trying to figure out how to customize Star Wars figures and I'm feeling sort of lost compared to larger figures
I can't seem to find a seem in the figures to crack them open
It's moulded in one piece around the joints.

Anyone here ever work on Star Wars figures? I'd love to see any guides or any tips,advice ,ect

heat and pop! all I have done so far or needed to do. it gets soft in about 40 sec. blow dryer on high.
