I've been working on an 18" Giant-man using the Toy Biz 18" movie spider-man as a base but I've run into a problem. The ratchet joint on the right leg snapped where it attached to the swivel inside the ball joint and I don't know how to repair it. I've tried super-glue and AVES apoxie but they both keep snapping due to the tension from the ratchet joint. Any suggestion on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
I would drill a whole in both pieces at the point where they connect and insert a screw with the head ground off and ground to a point so that you can screw it into both pieces. I've done this before with 6 inch figures using much smaller screws and it seems to work pretty well. I also suggest that you glue the screw in so that it doesn't come undone.
