I have been getting more serious in customizing, and I'm ready to try new techniques and things. For what I know primer is just a "base coat" the protcects, gives a better paint job look and helps the paint adhere more ( If there is anything else it does please let me know). I just wanted to know the best primer to use, and if there's any particular way to use it, and if there are any additional purposes ( keep in mind, never used primer). THANK YOU!!!
There are more in depth conversations on primers in a few other subjects on this board but I recommend Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric as a primer. You can find it in Auto stores. Spray a light coat on, let it dry, and then spray again to get balanced coverage.
Primer is also helpful to look over your figure before you paint to make sure there are not any sculpt failures or anything that needs to be fixed.
