Hey guys as the title suggests, I'm working with decal paper on a figure with sculpted clothing folds. I used a test figure to see how it would work and I find that the decal doesn't want to completely conform to the folds. Any prodding with a wet brush just slides the decal out of place.
I decided to go this route because I thought it would be cleaner than doing a decoupage since that always left glue residue outside the emblems. Any tips?
That's too easy brother, I had made cobra emblems that were 1/4 inch in radius, so the size shouldn't be a problem, you should try it, you won't regret it, if the machine that makes them want so expensive, I'd buy my own, let me know how it turns out when your done I'd like to see it
I've tried the testers decal stuff with no success, your best bet is to have vinyl decals made professionally cut, most places have a $25 minimum purchase on decals (I use fast signs) but the good thing is you'll have plenty of extra, and they work on almost all surfaces, what is the decal of and what figure is it going on?
Oh sorry if I stated that in a confusing way. I'm not dealing with actual cloth. It's molded plastic on a figure that was sculpted to look like clothing folds.
