tamiya spray paint?

Posted in Custom Workstation

hey guys..anyone know anything about using tamiya spray paint? I was wanting to try painting some gundam figures and was curious about it after seeing it in the hobby shop. or am I better off using testors acrylic with an air brush? the tamiya comes in a lot of great colors but I wasn't sure about the toxicness or if it drys tacky like some sprays

You could always use the Tamiya paint that comes in the little jars.

I am not sure what type of plastic the Gundam figures use but Tamiya spray is more of a lacquer so it might be tacky after drying. I always prefer to go the airbrush route since you know acrylic will dry on the figure and you can see how much paint you have left. When spray paint cans start to go empty, they tend to sputter out paint and can give you an uneven look.
