Thundercats on eBay
I'm selling headcasts of the Christian Bale head (made from a Movie Masters Dark Knight 'unmasked' Batman figure) if anyones in need of one.
I'm asking $6.00US each + $3.00US for shipping (CanadaPost charges a lot for mailing anywhere).
If you live internationally (outside North America), let me know where and I can get you a custom shipping quote.
I also have other headcasts made (DC Direct Teen Titans Superboy, DC Direct Black Mask - which makes a great Red Skull head, and others)
If you're in need, let me know.
Cheers,
-Blayne
I'll post some pics of the unpanted casted version, but I'd be charging $6.00US + shipping for the head if anyones interested.
I'm running low on my supplies, so the offer's good "while supplies last".
Cheers,
-Blayne
I want to see it!
Forearms, legs, feet, heads, some weapons, etc. work well with the 1-part process. Anything more complicated (hands with individual fingers, or thin little areas) are best done with a 2-part, as airbubbles will be the bane of your existence.
The bale heads I cast this evening look great though - no flaws. You'll usually get one airpocket under the chin (if you cast the head pointing toward the ground) which is good - there's no detail under the chin, and it can be cut out and filled in with Aves sculpt. When painted, there's no difference visible.

my goal really is to cast weapons since I have a limited supply. deadpools and such look a lot better when theyre strapped head to toe any way heh
are there any video tuts on casting? more specifically for figures. I've found casting tuts but they use items like large novelty coins... an example of an ML piece would be a much better example.
I know I saw a quick headcast tut but idk where to find it now
For Squeezeplay, I'd suggest he pick up one of the kits that Smoothon makes, either online or at a local hobby store and cast pieces himself.
That way, he can create parts to his specifications.
For casting parts, I've been using a one-piece mold process and it works great (except for hands - those need 2-part molds if they have tiny, individual fingers).

Un-****ing-believable. I guess everyone is going to completely ignore anything I said besides the number 5000.
I TOLD YOU I DIDN'T TELL THEM TO CAST 5000 THINGS, I TOLD THEM TO CAST ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONE!!!!!!!!!!! NOT 5000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO YOU UNDERSTAND YET???????????
And that right there is why I am not letting you cast anything of mine on this board.

I have done what you are talking about. I have acctually casted pieces that boardies have sent me on loan. I have cased them and sent them back. (I have to send out one more Chinkaki!!) If you have something that you wanted to cast, please let me know.
all you have to know is that 5000 diffrent pieces to cast is a unreal number. now if you wanted up to 5 pieces casted (depending on what they are) at a time, then that is a more realistic number. there is a lot of time and money that goes into one piece. take this hand a boardie on the spawn board wanted me to cast.
1.first you have to make the mould box and clay in the piece. (this one needed air vents
2. Pour first half of silicone mixture. (that you will pay for....)wait to cure
3. Prep and pour second half... wait to cure (If its a 2 piece mold)
4.now seperate the 2 and trim. then you are ready for the resin. (that you will pay for)
5.finished piece...
1.
2
3 through 5.
Don't think its easy. there is a lot of work involved. I left out the boring parts.
thanks to Goldenwolf for this beauty...
Meh.
I have about 5,000 items that could be cast (no that is NOT exaggeration :^).
My collection covers TF, Joe, Spawn, Marvel, DC, Zoids, and some misc. other stuff.
If someone wants to contact DR. DeadMan and ask him to --->EMAIL<--- me I'd be happy to talk to him through email.
And yeah, I saw his stuff on here. Good stuff.
I could easily get a cast of mine if not for that fact.
We have been notified by the manufacturer that we will not be receiving any additional shipments of Batman: The Dark Knight Movie Masters Wave 5 Case, (Item MTP6167A), because they have discontinued production of this item at this point in time. The item has been removed from your order - Entertainment Earth.
Not to mention that anyone selling them online like EE has completely pulled the figures from their ordering page. this sucks but I will probably still get them off of mattycollector as soon as they become available. They should be making an official announcement at San Deigo Con in a couple of days, hopefully the price and when they will be available.
Check These Out!
