Comparison shot of MM Christian Bale Headcast/Original/Copy

Posted in Trading Post

Hey everyone,

I just sent this image off to a fellow here at F.R to show him the painted headcast I did based on the Movie Masters 'chase' Christian Bale Batman head:

I'm still selling the unpainted casted pieces for $6.00US + $3.00US shipping.

If you're in desperate need of a painted version similar to the one on the right hand side, let me know. I traded toward it, but I valued it as a whole figure + some fodder I needed.

I also have casted pieces available of a 6" scale briefcase (the original was a NECA accessory), and it goes really well with any Bruce Wayne custom.

Cheers,
-Blayne

They don't make it where I live either, but I order my Aves Sculpt online.

What I can do is include two pieces of Aves sculpt in different baggies for you to knead together/put inside the head to have it fit your figure.

It's necessary to do it this way because you can't "heat and pop" casted pieces - they're not flexible like factory plastics.

how much extra? as in cash

It's cool - I'll just give you two pieces the size of a quarter for free with your order.

You knead the two pieces togethertogether until the color changes, then stuff it inside the figure head. Put some babypower or hairgel on the neck peg (to prevent it from sticking too much to it), then press the head (filled with mixed Aves Sculpt) on to it. Trim off with your fingers (or any tool) any extra Aves sculpt that gooshed out when you pressed it on.

I use the same process in all my customs to for attaching hands to figures when the peg-holes are different sizes. Works like a charm. You let the Aves sculpt cure for a day, and then turn the head around a few times to make sure it won't come off.

Will do. I modified a ML Movie Punisher figure to have re-jigged arms/jacket from the T4 Marcus figure to make a future-war John Connor.

I'll make the cast without the eye-scar just in case people don't want a battle-damaged Christian Bale.

Since the figure is from the same series, yes. The original head I cast was from a MM TDK 'unmasked' chase figure. I paid waaayy more than I'd like to admit so I could get that head to cast, heh. It'll fit great.

Usually to attach custom heads, you use Aves sculpt (a 2-part sculpting compound, self curing) by putting a bit inside the head (dremmeled out to fit any size neck-peg/ball) and pressing it on to the figure. It retains the same pivoting range as the original once it's set.

I sent carlos a PM with some info quoted from my first post, and a bit of clarification. Thanks for the praise GoldenWolf.

I'm actually working on a custom sculpted T4-Christian Bale using a heavily modified LOTR Aragorn head. After I added the Bale heavy brow, it looked perfect. I'll post some pics once it's finished. If there's interest, I can make duplicate casts of it too.

Heyya,

What exactly is it you want/are looking for?

The figure pictured above actually isn't a Mattel Joker Goon - it's a DC Direct "Jimmy Olson". I am Joker Goon figure as a base for other Obama figures - it's more accessible, and cost less than out-of-production DCD figures.

If you're interested in purchasing a commissioned Obama figure (made using a DCD body or the more articulated Joker Goon one), PM me and we can talk.

Hope this helps,
-Blayne

I mean the bale head I don't mind thats its not painted I just want more info (carlo customs)

I was using some darker skin tones intentionally with the painted version.
I held off on drybrushing any lighter tones on so my customer could tone-match the hands he was using.

Nothing worse than having different colored neck/hands on a figure, heh.

Thanks. For the painted version I did, I found that using Citadel's "Sepia" wash under the eyes, and along the hairline / mouth / forehead 'acting' wrinkles works really well as a very subtle shader, as long as the skintone isn't super-super pale. You can always go over the area with a lighter skine tone drybrush after the wash is applied.
