So I was traipsing through Wal Mart the other day to pick up some essential's and figured what the heck, had some extra cash, and went through the toy asile. Dissapointed that they didn't have the new wave of Animated or Universe Transformers in, I almost left till my head tilled to the right and saw the Power Rangers Super Legends section. Normally I'd just pass right by without giving it a second glance but something special caught my eye. At about six inches give or take, was an action figure of the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Megazord! I just had to grab it for the pure Nostalgic thrill of it all.
It's decently articulated but I'll probably do some work on it later on. Anyway, I was wondering have any of you ever just bought something just because of Nostalgia even though you knew it was either going to be mediocre of just plain horrible?
I just re-bought a PS2. I know, most of you are like: "Come on, they're still making games for it, how is that nostalgia?" Well I bought it to play a bunch of older PS1 games mostly: Descent, Hexen, Doom, Mega Man Legends, Resident Evil 1-3, King's Field 1 & 2, Castlevania: SOTN, Legend of Legaia, Syphon Filter, MSG, and others. They're all great games, and I think I'm at the point where I've played through everything I could possibly want to on the NES, SNES, and Sega Systems.
I got a great deal for the PS2 (w/2 Controllers, DVD Remote, 3 (2 PS2, 1 PS1) Memory cards, and 3 games!). I just traded about 10 comics, and a handful of comic cards (all commons). This other guy was a Punisher fanatic, and the majority of the stuff was Punisher stuff was how I got away with it. But he made me the offer; I threw in a bunch of freebies just cause I still felt like I was ripping him off even though it was his offer.
I wasted so much money on the TFA line. I thought it was cool for a little bit then when I started running out of shelf space, those were the first to go.
I can stand the articulation on my GG, but sweet jesus, could they have mad a stand that actually did it's job instead of slowly bending and pulling a Jenga?
My little brother had a couple of those and they always pissed my off because they had unmovable articulation sculpted on to look like the characters from the movie...why wouldn't they just articulate the figure?...Money?...LAME!...otherwise they had great likeness to their movie counterparts...
yeah. most of the Transformer universe classics. I keep buying the repaitns such as ratchet, silverstreak, and smokescreen knowing they only changed a few tiny things.
Spider Man and Green Goblin "unleashed" 10 inch figures. I think they were on sale for a reason. The articulation in the arms is terrible in both of them. I really regret buying them instead of the target exclusive 12 inch Silver Surfer.
