It's like a rumor, you really can't get excited about anything unless they are confirmed. It's their fault because they should've checked their resources before posting rumors that they can't prove...You really can't believe a rumor the first time and not expect a let down when it's proved false.

I don't know how funny that is. It's pretty dam childish if you ask me. As a fan, I'd be pissed if I thought I was able to get something like that on the market, only to find out it was a hoax.
So did you really try to fool them, or did they just mistake your custom for the real deal? Cause if it's the latter, then I'd be pissed for them slandering my name like I was some sort of con-artist. And if it was the 1st, then shame on you.
