Batman beyond unmasked question

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

I got him today and am debating whether to open him or not but the question is: how rare is the unmasked variant? if he's rare I don't want to open him (though I'd love to make a cast of his head for a custom). If he's rare I'll try and find the masked version and open him.

I have found 3 of this figure, the mask is just a piece of molded plastic that fits in the figures hands and looks like he just took it off, it has a handle to put in the hand and thats about all the appeal the figure has, I used two of them for customs. Just thought I would let y'all know.

Batman Beyond...I saw about all the episodes.

The good: It had Conroy's Batman and some interesting elseworlds stories. The fighting was good most of the time, and they still had most of the good writers. Some of the guest stars from Batman TAS came back. Return of the Joker was an amazing movie, thrill a second.

The bad: Max, the dialogue begin its transition from classical (as in Batman TAS) to trying to be cool which makes it look silly today and in the future, too much teen problems into the stories, the villains were not as exciting

Overall, better than most, but of course not Batman TAS by any stretch but what is.

I'm hoping they mark the Terminators down more but knowing walmart they'll ship them back instead. Even at 5.00 I'd be happy to pick up a few more endos and T-1s.

lol. Well his mask does look like you could put it back on. I'll wait and see if I can get a masked one. If I hadn't looked down at the shelf under the DCU figures I wouldn't have seen it. On a seperate note walmart's Terminator figures are down to 6.00, if they go lower I'm hitting them hard for a few more figures lol.

I heard people who were getting the masked version were taking off the mask, putting him back in the box, and then claiming it was the unmasked version! (just kidding)

I have never seen the unmasked in stores, but online I have found him for around 8-13 dollars new. the masked one tends to be a bit more.
