Today at kohls I saw the rotf toys they had at buy one get one half off, and they had a red corvette, it was sideswipe with a new paintjob and different head. First thing to pop in my head, swap the heads out and there u have a classic style sideswipe without having to do a paintjob
that was a deal. I have 5 of him for various things. I'm making all the clones they had of him in g1: sunstreaker, red alert and such plus I want to make one into a hotrod that converts into Rodimus prime lol.

black and it still wasn't smooth. Gotta do some sanding when I actually get time. I bought him for $8 a few weeks ago at HEB (like walmart with mostly grocery)
The swerve aka sideswipe figure was only $11. I have a sideswipe I'm repainting and nodding, but it's my first transformer custom and I give props to those who do it right, it's hard lol. Mainly to avoid paint chipping and keeping it smooth
especially when you can get someone to make you one for less than that and with more g1 styled heads. I know I'm casting a g1 sideswipe head and using that for my G1 colored custom and I'm giving him hands and g1 style weapons. and it'll still cost less than their repaints lol
that's basically it. They're doing the G1 paintjob bit like they did with the first movie, sorta like the walmart exclusive seeker jets that aren't selling at all at 30.00 each.
