Do they even still make them? The last time I saw any in any store was well over a year ago to my recollection. I recall a preview of a line they were supposedly going to make that included Tigra, but I never saw them in stores.
I have 2 walmarts and the only ML I saw were ares series spidey and johnny blaze. The exclusives I see at walmart are those crappy TF movie seeker jets with g1 colors for 30.00 each that have a half inch of dust on them (seriously none have sold). I wish they'd get the nemesis wave as I need parts for my nemesis still and I'd sell the figures off.
as of yesterday, all of the nemesis wave was still there. all six characters and both variants.
they also have the three ares wave figures. what happened to the rest of that wave? you can barely find them on ebay even. did they only release 100 sets or something?
within 10 miles of my home or work, there are probably 10 walmarts. I have talked to many collectors and many toy department people, and I am fairly sure that human torch, crossbones, kang, guardian, and vision have never touched shelves in the area.
The exclusives aren't rare, finding a Walmart in my area that carries them however is. I live near Minneapolis so there are dozens of Walmarts in the area and I haven't seen a single Marvel Legend in any of them. Just a boatload of DC figures.
I remember that the Ironman movie exclusive warmachine was a hot item then suddenly you'd see 10 of them at a time. Anymore exclusive doesn't mean rare unless there isn't a walmart in your area lol
The walmart exclusives are a joke. No one finds the rare ones like Nova or Tigra or Crossbones. Hasbro did a decent job on ML and the figures are more durable and tighter for sure but the paint jobs and aritculation fail compare to the originals. It won't ever be back like it was.
Another reason they aren't selling is Walmart has this innate ability to put toys where you don't look, usually endcaps against far walls where you don't look to go. lol. I have yet to see the nemesis wave at either of them here.
They should send them to the UK, WE WILL BUY THEM HASBRO!!!
But instead, someone will pick up all those pegwarmers in one specific area of the states for 5 bucks, then stick them on ebay at 30 dollars plus 25 dollars postage...
as of last tuesday, one of the walmarts near me still had the whole nemesis wave on shelf. they are boxed on an endcap against the back wall. wonder why they aren't selling.....
But where were they ever released? It's weird, there aren't even sections reserved for MLs on the shelves of my local retail stores anymore. I'm curious to see how that Tigra wave worked out.
Sort of, I suppose. Not regularly, but when I have the time you may see me again on these boards.
Thanks, TNC. I'm curious if the newer MLs are even good for customizing.
MLs suc.k hard now a days. (that's the short version)
since Hasbro took over, weve gotten a cast of super heros/villains who are the same people, just in different costumes (we don't need Wolverine in 48 different costumes!!!!). parts have simply been swapped, meaning that there is NO new sculpt. The paint jobs are sloppy, and blan with hardly any attention to detail (compared to Toy Biz). The figures are extremely hard to come by (it's like evert figure is the ML Dead Pool lol) there are no bonus comic books, no bonus displays, the packaging suc.ks, the BAF figures aren't hardly worth getting... bassically, to answer your question, Marvel Legends has gone one place, down the crapper (that, of course was the long version)

I'm telling you Hasbro dropped the ball and Mattel picked it up.
