Does Doomsday talk?

Posted in Off Topic

Y'know, big bad Superman killer thing, does that thing talk? Or does it just grunt or what? I don't have any Superman comics with him in them so I don't know...and I haven't seen any online where it shows Doomsday with a speech bubble...

I'm working of a redesign of it in a 3d animation program called blender

theres also one I made thats purely light based - the suit lights up
but it looked a bit tronlike

but I canned that idea so that my deadeye samurai character can project flaming red samurai armor around himself

just now the armour looks orange but the armours colors shift thru the red spectrum as its animated

I guess standardizing the GL suit (like in the JLU cartoons) would be okay, but I thought the whole point of the Guardians using living creatures instead of the manhunter robots was so that their GLs could be able to communicate and understand more different species of organisms, to have more differing opinions to help make better decisions on what's "wrong" and "right", to have individualism to break monotony. I mean, yeah they could all wear the same suit and still be individuals, it comes down to readers' preferences I guess. I don't like Hal in the JLU uniform, but I think Stewart looks great in it. How do they decide what the official GL suit will be? No clue! @_@;;

Wow have to see those batrangs and other "wonderful toys" you make
The katana I mades strong aluminium - so resilient to a few poses - but not for any kind of kendo clash
I'm renovating it to add a scuplted dragon around the handle - but like everything else I do its a slow process...

feel free to IM me anytime mate

just my opinion of supes sorry him and cykes can die every day and I wouldn't mind. Sorry to insuate anything else.

And for a Gl movie I am so with you on a more militaristic look. Screw any GL purists who argue the point.

And yes I love sword I have been a Smythe for 5 years now (and no I don't mean Smithy as I do not do horse shoes or kitchen utensils).
It is very cool that you have made one of your pieces I see that is very impressive. I would love to see a pic of it.

I have made now 175 pieces 25 that are original designs. Most are ideas from comics or books I have read, like batarangs and Katars, and punishers sword from what if punisher was conan. But once I design them I sell the design and have them manufactured in China or Mexico as it is a Heck of a lot cheaper than me doing it myself. I am workin on a robin rang right now and I have had a problem with the balance but I finally think I have it down right. I hope.

Lol what you trying to insinuate about me? Just kidding Bob-a

Yeah I aint been a great supes fan - tho I do like what I mentioned in my last posts

He needs a better suit - its one of the things that piss me off about him - the trunks just bug me

Thats whats so cool about the GLs - they have bodysuits that make sense
and I reckon they should make them more militaristic looking in a movie - so most of the oufits follow a uniform (with exceptions made for extra limbs for alien GLs)

One of the best GL redesigns I seen was on SHH fanart - they had the sector the GL belonged to on their top right chest - like an Army serial number
And the body suits were just begging to be made

Bob-a I see you like swords - I have quite a few in my collection

4 katanas (One I made at art college for the wife's birthday)

2 Indian Cavalry Sabers

A basket Hilt Scottish Culloden Claymore (saber variant)

That's just it though, Superman isn't pretentious or a jerk, he's just an average guy who fools himself into thinking the world can be saved, when really it can't.

I am not a huge superman fan (my whole dislike of superboyscouts who are too pretencious issue) But when the ol boyscout was rumored to die I picked them up to watch him kick the bucket. Doomsday at first was able to grunt one or two words and slowly gained a larger and larger vocab. He eventually was able to talk and feel things as he evolved. But he doesn't talk a lot I believe following the old addige of a foolish man talks when everand to whoever, while a wise man bides his time speaking only when it will be of importance, or helpful.

Totally agree with you there....

That and the fact that most TV animated show writers these days - are or were once comicbook writers
JM Dematteis and Warren Elllis have done some great writing on episodes of the JL/JLU series

I like the story-writing in the cartoons a lot more than in movies for the most part. Maybe it's because cartoon writers can be a little more laid back, they aren't constantly hounded and reminded of the half-billion it cost to make the movie and how they had better do something decent and make it fast. @_@

Not a great superman fan I'm afraid - not read many comics

but I do like the chris reeve movies (4 was so bad its good) and the occasion superman tpb

I actually started to really like superman thru the animated shows both his own series and JL/JLA - better written than most films

But the new superboy returns film kinda leaves me a bit cold - not enough action - not impressed with the suit
Can't wait for him to be kicked around by Doomsday

sorry in advance if anyone heres a brandon routh fan - I'm prepared to give him another chance in the sequel

The guy from Spawn would make a good Panther @_@

I borrowed both the Life and Death of Superman TPBs and yeah, Doomsday talks at the end. He's smart and Superman beats the snot out of him for some reason, in one issue. Doomsday develops feelings or something and that helped Superman win. xD

He talked in the JL and JLU tv episodes - and most likely he will too in the New Supes animated Movie thats coming out soon

In the TV animated shows he was voiced by SPAWN himself - Michael Jai White

I want Michael as Black Panther

In some of the newer Superman/Supes crossovers he had evolved to the point where he developed emotions and gained the ability to speak, course then he got sucked into a time portal...
