New Spider Woman suit?

Posted in Off Topic

Yeah, I'm starting another custom I'll never finish...

I heard there was a new Spider Woman suit and when I saw it I loved it so now I must make one! But I can't find any pictures...I heard she's in the new Alpha/Omega Flight comic? I don't know but for some reason pictures of her are hard to find...a little help?

I mean, I know Phoenix is on the back of the packages but I've never seen her on the store-pegs or on Ebay in that X-Men packaging.

5 Rogues!? You could sell those for $30 US each!

Really?

I thought phoenix was in that series - I thought I saw a couple in the store - but I went back next day - gone!
so I mightve been mistaken

bought about 5 rogues tho (with removeable shades) shes wearing blue and red

got 3 red n black Logans with hotrod paxks as well at adiscount - anyone wants one - let me know

Quite a cool figure and vehicle combo - kinda looks like a mazda/subaru mixed sports car

Wifes who support their hubbys comicbook eccentricities are great arent they? LOL

Yeah she stopped me getting a Tat GL ring on my wedding finger - but everytime she sees a new figure when shes out at the local Asdas and TKMAXX she gets me it

Just bought up a bulk load of Xmen Classics figures - really cheap - £3 each - the marvel legends style ones

Still havent got Magneto, Ruby armour cyke, Airstrike and Stealth Wolverines, The cat face Beast variant or Phoenix - but I have the other all ones including repeat figures of Rogue with slightly different faces

well for all of us Gl geeks I am making a Chaselon riht now to add to my corp.

And I once had a dream where I was a space thief and stole rings from lanterns until they made me one of them and gave me the job of making sure their batteries where in the corect locker in the pocket dimmension and I screwed Guy a lot. It was dream it didn't make sense, So I told my wife the werid dream. And for my birthday my wife bought me Planet Krypton rings, the busts that had rings in them, a GL watch, a web Belt, and a belt buckle so I can now say I have almost all the lanterm style rings including Gnort's and a few of the weirder characters. I never wear them they are all part of a display, but they look awesome. She so sweet to me.

I never did get my hands on an official GL ring >_< Always wanted one like Hal's, nice simple design. I almost tricked myself into believing that GLs really did exsist and if I were brave enough, a ring would choose me...of course then I snapped out of it and became a horrible, horrible person but at least I kept some good qualities.

Lol I think we've got to the stage , Bob-a, where your deemed as an Easy going GL purist - Much like Ventz
And yeah end of the day its a bloody comicbook meant to entertain - not base your entire life round

There was a time I was scared that people were going to buy Startrek next gen costumes and convert them into GL suits and wear rings and walk about the streets like some Trekkers do in their Starfleet togs round here

Saying that tho I was toying with the idea of getting a tattooed GL Ring on My wedding finger
Glad I got stopped by the wife

Yeah I know I have to many chromashomes I have 3 thumbs for gawdsakes and I live with it. Favoring a gl is fine but get really they are variations of the same thing a bunch of boys taking orders from smurfs. I love my GL's but when all is said an done its a comic ment to be enjoyed and maybe learn a thing or too, Maybe if I haven't been drinking to heavy.

Yeah I hear ya on the painting - I'm posting a Hellboy custom soon - made from an ML boxed set Hulkling...
Thats the limit of my painting skills with Acrylics - I only use gloss for shiny bits on figs like mouths - eyes and their experimental (with the emphasis on mental) at best

well said - got few people I know over there just now from my neck of the woods

Was that the MODOK ML series Spiderwoman?
And sorry it didn't work out - I usually build my models out of colored polymer clay like sculpey - its called Fimo so I don't do a lot of painting if I can help it - cos I SUCK at painting figs just nowops:

That'd be the best thing to happen since sliced bread, mankind's greatest achievent.

I've been put-off to even mentioning GLs on message boards. Someone always has to be a jerk and ruin any point I try to make. If I say I like Hal, someone has to write a flaming 2-page essay on how he sucks. If I say I like John, someone has to praise how much better Hal is, sometimes it's the same guy writing both flames, it's ridiculous! I'm happy as a closet GL fan for now. I would like to recreate the whole Parallax incident in my own comic form someday, just have to beef-up my Photoshopping skills...and make customs of everyone, hah...

That's a main reason why I don't get along with people, no one has a sense of humor anymore.

...or maybe mine is just too cynical

Thanks very much Doc - well I have to agree with you on the 'not getting along with people with no sense of humor' part (or Zoids as I call them for being easily wound up)

Part n parcel of half my 'fights' with people online - with my temper and miscommunication taking up the rest
I try my best to avoid trouble but some dingleberries always find your right button to press, or the reverse is true when they take you too literal

Wonderman fans are even worse than GLfans

Sure man-
I've always been more a Marvel/Darkhorse fan

But DC wise - a big Batman and GL fan - but my thoughts on their comics have had me repeatedly attacked on boards by purist batman/lantern fans

I was making an animated movie with a friend - Ventura - that had a reinstated GL John Stewart Teaming up with new Rookie GL Kyle Rayner for the first time to track down the missing Hal Jordan who the guardians had feared had turned evil

I was trying to basically condense the whole Emerald Dawn/Twilight miniseries and add in John stewarts disgrace and Kyles training - into a 20 minute animated movie

But dayum some GL fans were not happy

Hey I am a GL purist... and I say you should do it. not because its the actual story but come on if animated stories where even close we wouldn't have had justice league or Justist league Unlimited, Teentitans batman the animated series and all of its spin offs. Supermans adventures and its spin offs. the ultimates Ironman FF these are all great and it is kind of hard to put all of the years of story in to like an houror 2 thats just not bright.

Lol Sorry man I meant no diss - but GL Purists I've met - wheeeeee dogggieee
One too little of the chromosomes

Ventura who - I was working with - WAS a GL Purist but he thought as you - that it was all the others (except maybe 2) that were just abysmal

Things got so bad Ventura left the site and we tried to keep in touch - I'm still waiting to hear back from him

Thanks very much man thats really encouraging - I'll definitely give it a crack

It was actually coming along well until the hate started

I didn't leave but I was a marked man - wall of slience treatment - jeez it just got puerile...
Even the chief Mod and webmaster wouldn't talk much to me or help me out any as he was such a GL purist....ridiculous

And ist very true what you say about animated versions of the TV show, even movies being universes in their own right - a Alt. version of the comic basis.
But these guys just wouldn't swallow it

I just tried to spray Spider Woman all black. Yes, TRIED. I sprayed and it looked nice and smooth but I forgot to wash the figure first. The paint didn't want to stick so it started to slide off. Now I have to go get another Spider Woman. At least they're only 5 bucks...and two cities away...

The Movie - Ventura and I were making?

No we never got it finished as the hate was that vehement on the site we were on - And Ventura left the site

My script was a bit too in-jokey for the purists as I was knowingly tongue in cheek referencing lines from

Men in Black

John - Time to Put it on!

Kyle - what???

John -the last ring you'll ever wear!

and Wizard Of Oz

Kyle - (once flying towards Oa and the Guardians Battery) An Emerald City? Oh You just gotta be kidding me?

John - You definitely aint in Kansas anymore, Toto

But the hardcore GL fans weren't happy - Screw them for having no goddayum sense of humor
Maybe they'd be happier with a Jack Black Lantern Movie? LOL

Its funny that way. GL fans are hardcore! I remember reading the articles on the "fire Ron Marz- HEAT thing". I would love to see the movie, is it avabile online? I have the odd DC(mostly Flash, and 70s DC) but was always a Marvel purist.

Did you know theres a little known DC supervillain Analogue of Green Arrow from the Qward reverse universe called DEADEYE?

He looks like a Brown suited version of Hawkeye - right down to the mask

I'm going to slap myself if I don't finish at least two customs over this weekend.
