As for Reeves viz a vie Routh physique - even Routh fans have admitted that Routh was more slender than CR who as you said wasn't super huge

However Reeves was trained By British bodybuilder Dave Prowse (Darth Vader) and was definitely more bulky than Routh with a more pronounced chest and thighs

Rouths supes is very Metrosexual looking and appeals to gay men as well as women
its a marketing and demographic pleasing cast

I was rooting for Jim Calviezel to be cast

But Routh pulling off the role perfectly? Bale nailed the Batman role better IMO
So I'm still unconvinced by Routh - but wiiling to watch Superman sequels to see if he improves
And I seriously hope they change that bloody suit - its just wrong in so many ways

I disagree with the view on Routh though. Reeves wasn't super huge, he was about the same build and he pulled it off perfectly.

And yeah...not a overly big fan of a skinny dude as supes...Wellings fin and all - I like the latest episodes of Smallville - especiually with Green Arrow and the other JLA members

Wellings more built for the role - But Chris Reeve will always be superman for me

saying that I aint an nromous supes fan - tho I read some very decent comics about him - especially like the ones where he isnt so mr nice

I'm a great fan of the Bat and Green Lantern tho

ya, not at all a fan of brandon routh playing supes. Tom weling should be superman, or someone a little bigger. superman just doesn't come across to me as a skinny little guy, thats the flash. cool comic though my fellow canuk. I need to start doing this stuff. but im digging the stuff you do.
