Off TopicI read an article awhile ago that said Superman was the #1 favorite. We are all a little more educated in comics than most so Im wondering what the vibe is here?

Please wait...

Batman on eBay
thats what really set it apart also - the use of real guns!
You couldnt have a hard bitten mafioso shoot a pink laser beam firing kiddies pistol
Ya needed a "chicago typerwriter" to do da woik
The violence in the BTAS was very suprising at times when compared to the highly sanitised Fox Spiderman and Xmen shows (tho I liked those too at times)
JL and JLU continued with that ethos and made for some compelling viewing

Bouns points for using real guns insted of laser weapons in other cartoons.
I loved the whole 1940 feel to it.
But personally the BTAS isnt just another cartoon series like Xmen Evo - it had the Anton furst/burton gothic style - Dark Deco
It was an artform from beginning to end - even the crappier eps had something to like - and Marvel really hasnt produced a series of this calibur - ever
Voices are definitely the best ever voice acting in a cartoon
Hamill and Conroy are genius
Xmen Evo did have its highlights - but maybe you have to be younger to truly appreciate it more? I dunno
I'm just glad they didn't make Wolverine into a Kid
And one of the best things about Xmen Evo was Wolverines suit - glad they got away from that hideous yellow n blue...
But Batman animated series, Batman beyond, JL and JLU animated - hell even eps of Supes animated series were truly well written, acted and executed
best ever cartoons to grace our screens
Nothing comes close

The best explanation of why I like the chacter came from JLU the last season where Darkseid came in and tried to invade.
Supes Says something like this. " I have to hold back all of the time, if I shake a hand or pat someone on the back I can shatter their bones, But your a big guy I think you can take it, So Im gonna cut loose and show you just how powerful I really am"
Boyscout or not thats some bad a$$ talk
The only incarnation of the man in blue and red I like is Smallville because he actually deals with normal problems too instead of a constant Supes vs some Badguy with a shiny green rock(though its still present)
X-Men Evo was AWESOME, I hate that it went off air. Luckily they have most of the episodes on Youtube
My favorite character is probably Batman, since he doesn't actually have any superpowers, he's just good at fighting and smart. That plus I grew up watching Batman: TAS, as well as Spider-Man and X-men, but the Batman cartoon was the best of the three.
Thanks for adding her, though.
And +1 Red Sonja. I don't care if she has no super-powers or if her adventures are outrageous and fantastic or if her wild fiery mane flows spectacularly in the icy winds...wait, I do care, and that's why I love her :]
Seriously he is my favorite hero
The Hulk-1
Iron Man-1
Moon Knight-1
