World War Hulk, what's your vote?

Posted in Off Topic

I'm the side that says World War Hulk is shameless, lame, ultimately, poorly written. I mean, WW3 from DC came out with all four parts in one week, whereas world war hulk lasts until september! AND it travels trough every single marvel book, such as ant-man. I dunno, maybe I just don't like marvel these days....what do you think? World war hulk, shameless marketing tool for marvels books? I've already bought a few that I've never read, and due to bad writing I prolly won't again. I mean have any of you picked up the heros for hire? I understand that it's a marketing tool. But Hulk would smash those fools. Hmm, alright so maybe this is more of a Marvel comics are lame thread.

First off, if the Hulk trounced the Surfer, the issue in question was badly written indeed. It'd be like the Hulk trying in vain to hit the Flash. Second, the Silver Surfer is not the power cosmic personified. He possesses a thousanth of a percent of Galactus' (the true possessor of the power cosmic) power. The Watcher's power is beyond mortal scope. It's not about punching him. He operates on a different level of existence than we perceive. If the Watcher chooses not to be injured, he simply isn't. It's hard to explain, but he's almost an abstract entity. His race is collectively the most powerful race in existence. If the Hulk were to attack him, the Watcher would simply stand there (unharmed) and contemplate the Hulk's rage, decide that it's against his vow to interfere, and promptly expel the Hulk from his home with a casual thought. The Watcher is not as physically strong as the Hulk, but there is far more to power than strength, and the Watcher's limits exceed that of the Hulk's by leagues.

That said, yes I agree that Tony should get what's coming to him. I think I too will wait for the TPB.

Ummm - Hulk seemed to Dust the Silver Surfer pretty good in a straight out fight , Punstarr

Dudes Power Cosmic personified - hulk had him

The angrier hulk gets, the stronger he gets - Watcher has a strength limit - the hulk doesn't

And I'm going to wait till its collected to read

I seriously want to see Tony taken to the bridge....hes had it coming

Hulk would wait until the next morning when the Watcher comes out to get his paper and is a groggy n' stuff and do a drive by - budda-budda-budda! There! How you like 57 bullets in yo cosmic entity?!

The Watcher ain't kicking nobody's butt with them skinny arms and legs anyway.

If the Hulk went after the Watcher, the Hulk would get his green butt handed to him before he could say "Hulk smash!"... the Watcher is a cosmic entity nearly on par with Galactus. The Hulk couldn't dream of being even close to in his league.

I think it's lame that Hulk comes all the way back, goes after Black Bolt first and merely beats him bloody? Why wouldn't he kill him and then wreck the Inhuman's sanctuary right next door to the Watcher. Maybe go smash his big, bald headed butt for good measure too. Hulk's pissed - they wasted his woman! He would terminate with extreme prejudice.

I did like me some Planet Hulk though.

I don't buy Heroes for hire, but I did for this arc and I didn't think it was that bad! Now I don't like the story repeating itself in some of the titles, so I can agree on some off the story writing. But C'mon Iron Man has had it coming & Doc Strange never gets involved but he did on this???? So far I like it, but if you want to compare to DC 52 didn't have to be 52 issues. So does countdown have to be also.

So you don't like Marvel at least there story arcs last like what 5 or 6 months and keep in mind Marvel is HOT right now!

Anyother gripes on Marvel please chime in on my thread about Captain America.

im just gettin the books that I already get and the one shots. I think its cool that they brought Hulk back and hes a whoopin up on people he was the original anti-hero. Hes been called a force of nature, he should stomp on everyone and I hope marvel doesn't cop out and have him pull punches. I want him to be the Villian< not sure thats the right word, but its how some books will portray him> of the year. I know that if I was say a tornado and all I did was what I do and someone punished me like they did totally go ape on whoever did it. Hulk was happy where he was in the end, and then bam another attack < at least hw he saw it not sure if the illuminati was responsible for the ship blowin up or not> and hows he gonna react when he finds out about Cap bein dead?.... Just wanna see Marvel make things happen and not go back and cop out on who these chacters are.

LOL Ofcourse it is. Its kinda silly to think it isnt. I mean marvel will make soooo much money from this arc, thats what is shameless. Not the marketing.
