I was taking a look around ebay today and found a NECA TMNT Leonardo that has misprinted packaging that says the figure is Raphael. Its posted as a buy it now or best offer, the price? $20,000.00! I saw it and bust out laughing, that is the most retarded price I've ever seen.
If you act now you can get the Leonardo figure in misprint packaging from another reputable seller for HALF PRICE! That's right folks, for only 1 easy payment of $9,999.99* you can get the "rare" Neca Leonardo in misprint packaging! Shipping and handling is FREE!
After I posted this thread, I came across a mention of this auction in a review from either June or July of this year. I wonder how much money the seller has lost from reposting the auction every month or so, espescially since ebay scales the listing fee by the starting price.
You see stupid prices all the time. You see it on amazon too. Not just for mismarked stuff. I have a TF book, 2nd printing with updates, that was 20.00 at the book store and some clown was selling on amazon for 80.00.
yeah, it's pretty funny . this same thing happened to the dark knight movie masters. one packaging with an upside down dark knight logo/symbol, and the price went all crazy.
Toyfare magazine seemed to print one letter a month for years from one of many idiots that thought they had some rare or expensive figure simply because it was a misprint...I wish people would just realize that it actually makes a figure defective and worth less...
