Comic Book Storyline Rumours

Off Topicok here's one I read on Fwoosh - DC have plans to kill off Bruce Wayne / Batman next summer and one of the Robins, I would guess either Dick or Jason, will become the new Batman - if it's true it's pretty sad that DC are so bereft of new story ideas that they have to rip off Marvel. the rumour also goes on that somehow Bruce wll become one of the New Gods after his demise.
I think it's a pretty stupid idea - if it's true.
this also got me wondering - who came back from the dead first - Bucky or Jason Todd?

Please wait...

Batman will be killed and it will be revealed he was a skrull the whole time.
I think Steve Rogers will become the new Batman.
I get it now.
Yeah D-I-C-K should take over. Jason is not worthy, IMO.
Why do they call him that?
And that'd be totally dumb. They should kill off a hero no one cares about, like everyone other than Batman and Superman.
MONKEY = D-I-C-K The filter does that. LOL

As for the whole death of Superman thing, I have just a few things to say.
One, Superman is not DC's golden boy. Most of their revenue in comics, movies and toys comes from Batman, not Superman... even after Superman returns.
Two, "killing" a character off and bringing him back a year later (especially in 4 inane forms) doesn't count as killing the character off. That's just blatant blatant money mongering and (attempted) mass merchandising. A character must stay dead for at least 5 years imho for the death to count as a death.
Just my opinions... take them for what they're worth.
Marvel had done it right with Captain Marvel he was dead for almost 20 years before they brought him back - which is also stupid. should have left him dead and used this as the opportunity for Genis to finally rise to the occasion.
He's just really, really good at getting better.
