Posted in Off Topic

Countdown to what?!!! can someone please explain this to me? I seriously doubt that DC have an actual plan.

have you read Batman: Killing Joke? pretty much explained the Joker's origin.

I got the impression the stories in Batman Confidential are supposed to be from Batman's past and relevent to DC's main continuity.

I only get DC comics for pretty much anything related to Batman.
Like Nightwing and Robin and Detective Comics and Batman Confidential.

How can you screw with the Joker's origin when the character doesn't have one?

(I'm the gruddamn) Batman Confidential is set outside mainstream DC Continuity, anyways.

Geppetto: JSA stands for Justice Society of America, the superteam that was originally around during the 30's and 40's.

Barry Allen wasn't the fastest Flash - Wally West is by quite a long way - but he was one of the most capable.

the funny thing is the only DC books I buy regularly are The Spirit and Batman Confidential and then the TPB collections that catch my fancy - usually reprints of older stuff. IMO the best Batman stories in the past year were the 2 minis done by Matt Wagner - bought those in TPB form. Bats Confid'l is really sticking in my craw right now because they're screwing with the Joker's origin. next story arc looks cool though.

personally I think everyone should boycott reading dc until any of their story arcs make sense.

and marvel should reprint the new x-men issues I am missing, cause I can't find them anywhere

they did this once already - they can't make it stick, they have too many Golden Age heroes that they don't want to let go of original Flash, Green Lantern, about 4 different Supergirls, blah, blah, blah...

they should just retire all the old / redundant versions of characters along with the JSA and incorporate the remaining JSA members into the JLA.

and why are they worried about all the Elseworld characters? everyone knows those are stories outside the main DC continuity!

and bring Barry Allen / Flash back to life!

Officaly, it's countdown to Final Crisis, tying up the Multiverse dimensions and, I'm guessing, another reboot of the DC Universe.

...Anybody else find DC Comics - or to give them the full name, Detective Comics Comics - a lil' redundant?
