I think they are doing all sorta of crap they can think about then they are gonna come up with something that reverses the house of m and all gets back to normal
I think you can safely add the 3 month late Giant Sized Astonishing X-Men #1 to your WTF list.
Three months ago, we got an issue of Uncanny X-Men in which they announced that Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde) died while the X-Men were off on the Breakworld mission.
Now you would assume that, since Marvel isn't completely new to the comic book publishing game, that they would have been prepared and had that death occur before announcing it right?
Yeah...not how it happened.
This week saw the release of the much delayed 25th issue of Astonishing X-Men, and all I can really think to say after reading it is....
WTF???
The only answer I have to that question is that Joss Whedon has no freaking clue of how to actually tie up even the simplest of the story arcs and concepts he starts.
Spoilers below:
Collossus demands to know the weakness of the giant bullet thing that Shadowcat is in that's headed toward Earth. Then we cut away back to Earth where most of the rest of the heroes are currently standing around and drooling (literally...drooling.) courtesty of a completely unexplained Magical seizure from Dr. Strange.
They decide that the big bullet thing is in fact the prison cell that Collossus was originally held in. (you know..the one that Kitty phased in and out of once already?) And now she can't phase through anymore because "It's like it wants me here."
And so...Shadowcat instead phases the whole thing through the Earth...
Agent Brand reveals that she's an alien and wants to jump Beast's bones...
W.T.F.
X-Force on the other hand, kicked much butt this week!
Bam, thank you! Had I remembered that bit, I would have brought it up as well. It shows why it's just not canon for Wolvie to regen at the rate he's been shown recently. Then again, this is Marvel we're talking about... contradicting itself? Perish the thought!
Before Weapon X, but it's not like he was at the center of the blast. He was on the outskirts of Hiroshima and wasn't evaporated.
I thought it was getting bad when they were depicting Wolverine in a couple recent stories getting reduced to his adamantium skeleton and regenerating. He didn't grow back when the Sentinel fragged him in the Days Of Future Past story!
The outcome of the storyline with Azrael though was that his powers of regeneration are reduced - so supposedly the next time he's fried down to nothing he ain't coming back.
I've always been a fan of Wolverine since I bought Uncanny X-Men 107 at the 7-11 when I was a kid.
I seriously think that Len Wein smokes massive amounts of Kentucky Hash, which in my...uh...complely never ever tried it ever, opinion, will really, really, really f@ck you up! And I agree with Chancellor. Best. Cap. Quote. EVER!
His healing factor should have gone back down after he got his adamantium skelleton back, but instead they just keep freaking adding to it, and now, it turns out he keeps coming back from the dead because of a deal with Azeral!
No worries, I can dig that. I wasn't referring to you or your opinion directly, man... it's just that your post reminded me of how much he's changed over the years and how much I miss the old version.
I think we can all agree that what he is now, is a lot better than the original idea for Wolverine. He was supposed to be revealed as a MUTANT MUTATED ACTUAL WOLVERINE created by the High Evolutinary and his claws were originally intended to built into his gloves. I sh@t you not.

yeah, in his new mini series (2 of 3) it was revealed that wolverine lived through the atomic bomb droped in Hiroshima. so... yeah, maybe I'll put that up there too, hahaha!
God I miss the old Wolverine... the one who'd take on a gang of thugs, get shot and actually look like he's in pain. You know, the Wolverine who had vulnerabilities. I hear recently he was melted down to his skeleton and was still walking around and regenerating. I guess he's got cosmic regeneration now. Who knew? I say bah.
God, I hope you're wrong! I like Wolverine now, something that amaze's me as I used to hate him. The fact that he remembers his past now, is something called, progression of character. Same with Spidey and MJ. If they did that, it would be essentially a replay of the Clone Saga, except on a Universe wide scale.
All the "heroes" that came out of the ship that crashed in the Savage Land are actually the real deals - all the other heroes that have been kicking around for years are sleeper Skrulls. So when it's all said and done this story will reset the Marvel U back to the way it was say about 1989. Wolverine goes back to being a really wild and crazy loose cannon and can't remember his past, Spidey never, ever actually married MJ, Jean Grey is still alive, Emma's still bad, yada, yada, yada.
And Joe Quesada has to go into hiding like Salman Rushdie.

how could I have forgot? yet another reason why joe quasada should burn in hell...
Not strictly true - Cap was Weapon I.

Rick Jones is the Abomination now?!
Here's an unsettling thought / theory -
