His healing factor hadn't reached "holy-f@$*ing-s^@&-on-a-stick" level yet. Enough punishment, and he would die.

Cyke's blast doesn't generate heat so it couldn't have melted the adamatium.

Is there an official explanation as to why wolverine couldn't/didn't regen his hand?

I think that while cutting it of the bean must have melted the metal on that area, so it doesn't allow the bone on the arm to regenerated

oh, ok. that's like that new wolverine run coming out-- it's gonna be in another reality (the future) where him and a blind hawkeye are the only superherores around. I dunno if it's gonna be worth it though.

Each AoA title replaced the given regular title for the several months the plot ran. Example: Uncanny X-Men became like Astonishing X-Men or somesuch.

He didn't cut the adamantium, incidentally. The adamantium only coats Wolverine's bones, not the joints. Enough power directly applied to Wolvie's wrist will obliterate the relatively weak tendons and such holding the bones together.

Basically, instead of firing the big wide blast he's usually shown firing, he narrowed the beam down (basically, he opened the visor just a tiny crack which focuses all the pressure of the blast down.) It helps to think of Cyclops' visor like a high pressure nozzle for the garden hose. Wide open, it sprays everything all over the place, but without as much pressure behind it, narrow it down and the water goes a lot further and harder.

Same idea as how they've had him use the visor to narrow the beam down to a pinpoint to poke a hole through the Blob in the past.

ok so Cyclops cut it off.but I don't understand what you mean by"Thin flat beam to cut instead of a broader beam to push"

He just flat off cut the hand off. Thin flat beam to cut instead of a broader beam to push.
