I lied. I forgot about my Enterprise-E from the Star Trek: The Next Generation movies (I wish it was the Enterprise-D from the TV show, but you take what you can get). I was gonna pay $50, but the LCS guy gave me $5 off because the box was a little beat-up. Cool for me! I didn't care about the box, that ship was going on display!
No kidding, I thought I'd had spent a lot. Then again its like I told a fella at work there is no shame in spending your money on something you truly enjoy. If it brings you joy or satisfaction, it is most definitely not a waste.
I recently top all of you...I ordered the Hot Toys Mms dx Joker (should be in hand soon) and a 2nd body for the cop outfit. Total for the "complete" figure (even though the body is sold separate) was $260
my dad was the same way he actually took a lot of my figures away from me after I no longer played with them and he put them up in his office hes still got almost all of my motu figures and a ton of my tmnt with whatever else he took lol hes got about as big of a collection as I do
but he mainly collects batman stuff and hotwheels hes got a cowl from the original batman with adam west and hes got to drive the 1960s batmobile I got pictures somewhere of that
Mine tried, they used to try and get me to keep the original boxes and put the figures back into them but it proved impossible. My dad's got toys from the 50s and 60s up stairs in the boxes that look nearly brand new.
thats how I was I think thats why I kept so many and why I know how much stuff is worth now cause my parents made me know how much stuff costed and made me either pay for them or work them off
My vintage starwars Yak face £85 about $142. My wife bought it for me I would never be able to bring myself to pay that much!!, he is complete and in mint condition though.
I was born in 1978, so yeah I'm not exactly a spring chicken anymore.
...and yes, I do remember the $2.00 Gi Joes, though to be honest I paid less attention to prices when I was a kid. When I got toys it was usually for my birthday or Christmas so someone else was buying them (usually my mom).
I think $18-$20 Bux on a Nick Wolfwood from Trigun...I refuse to pay more than $20...It'd have to be like my own character done by a professional, w/variant heads and parts + a diorama piece
I bought the TMNT Nightwatcher, The TMNT Kowabunga Carl party Van, and a TMNT Movie two pack all in the same day. I had a bunch of money from a enshurance company fore a bunch of stuff I lost in a garage fire. The nice thing is that I was going to sell the stuff that got burned anyway.

when I was a kid they cost like 4-7 bucks
then when I started buying them when I was older and for my kids they were like 8-15 bucks kinda crazy
and they got smaller wtf
Remember 2.00 GI joes and transformer minibots for under 5.00 in the 80s? lol.
175.00 for the import only Masterpiece megatron last year and that was on sale.
