Not selling

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

Has anyone else noticed that TF movie figures aren't selling? My dad's walmart is so overstocked they're in endcaps in hardware and in grocery. They made the cleaning crew dust them off as there was dust on the Seeker jet walmart exclusives and on the other TFs. It's the same at tthe other one in teh area. The things are collecting dust. The smaller marvel stuff from hasbro isn't moving either.

yeah I'm getting one next month as Wayne HOlden says every walmart around him is overstocked yet the nearest store with them here is an hour away at least. Walmart's not good at filling stores with what is needed anymroe. At least if it was at my dad's store I could get 10% off.

I've seen both TFs and GI JOE ROC lines peg warm. The ROC vehicles have started to go on clearance too. That $60 MP Skywarp was a bad idea in a bad economy imo.

Nice. I had hell getting the protofprms for the first movie. Walmart put them out early at 2 stores because hasbro didn't tell them they changed teh release date and they wouldn't give them to me that day.

we had to sell them for 10.49 because they were mismarked and the michigan law is if the package is marked then you have to sell it to the person

so the 60 dollar tfs got all sold out for 10.49
I wish I didn't work there at that time I would have bought them all

I saw a Starscream I think it was at my Wal Mart for 60 dollars. -SIXTY- dollars. I wouldn't pay that much for a freaking toy, no way.

O.o good lord yami knew something before the rest of us. Better send Satan a sweater for x-mas
when they figure out their sales are in the crapper maybe they'll figure it out. I now encourage all TF collectors to buy japanese lol. I might have to get a japanese Cosmos since hasbro only made like 8 of them. THe things aren't even on ebay. As for being picked through, I think folks want certain characters and that's it. I know around here it's the G1 named characters that sell.

... pants?... I can't say I'm familiar with that expression.... pants? is that a typo?... I'm curious now...
Lol pants
Pants - This is quite a new expression - I have no idea where it came from. Anyway, it is now quite trendy to say that something which is total crap is "pants". For instance you could say the last episode of a TV show was "total pants".

Don't know what it means either, but I find it hilarious for some reason.

I walked through the toy isles the other night while at Wal-mart. The TF section looked picked through, still a ton of it there. The couple of people in the isle were going nuts for the GI Joe stuff.

I lost my interest in MARVEL figures a long time ago. I only like the legends. You would think that they would know better.

Hasbro needs to get their heads out of their butts and stop making the things and give us what we want: Classics universe and the last line of animated they promised with hotrod and arcee. I think they're going to learn from this and bring legends back. if not I;ll be buying DC figures

Same over here in England from what I've seen, TRU had a massive display that was crammed full and went nowhere. I for one have not bought any as I think they look absolutely pants, also with the small Marvel stuff, they're just too small and too expensive £9 for a 3.3/4" figure, don't think so!!

They're already starting to go on clearance here. I only bought one of the new tranformers which was the little scout class Dead End. I feel bad because I held onto the bumblebees I bought from the first movie. the old one and the new one. Now I'm probably just gonna toss them in the toys for tots.

Question is will anyone even buy them at a discount? lol. I'm thinking they'll have to be pretty cheap. Part of it is the economy as a lot of toys aren't selling but this...this is just bad designs and them canceling series folks wanted to make more they don't. Until they restart the classics line Takara will be getting my money for G1 reissues in original packages. That and hasbro needs to stop with the making only a few of what folks want like the Classics universe Cosmos that oly 3 folks in the country managed to get one of.
