simon bisley its my favorite ever, after him on second place I would put alex ross those two are the ones that I worship.
there are many others that I really like but not in the same way as bisley/ross because I would buy anything with their work on it, but it's not the same thing with the others, some of these are (in order of importance):

-Frank miller
-romita jr.
-jim lee (mostly because of his work on marvel)
-lewis larosa
-steve mcniven
-lee bermejo

I would also like to say that while he isn't one of my favorites I really dig the stuff from Ed Mcguiness too I think it's interesting at least.
now what I don't understand is how people can like steve dillon! I HATE the guy!

My favorite Fine Art is Mike Sibley. he is recognized as one of the best. His work inspired me to pick up a pencil and start drawing again.

Chris Bachalo is my favorite (particularly his take on anything symbiote related; Anti-Venom, or "Sinister" Spider-Man. I always felt like symbiotes looked better in that weird, abstract-esque style)

To name a handful--Lim, Silvestri, Simonson, Mignola, Art Adams and of course, the late great Jack Kirby. Most recently, I love what Coipel has done with Thor.

I've never heard of most of these people. Most of the artists I liked have retired or moved to their own small projects. Comic companies are good at throwing out artists who don't seem hip even if they're crowd pleasers. I like Joe Jusko's stuff and he's a heck of a nice guy.
