I believe green arrow has also had some training from wildcat.

Hands down, Green Arrow. For those who don't read the books, read at least Green Arrow # 60-65 "One Year Later" story arc

Both great characters, but I have to go Green Arrow. I mean, for crying out loud, he shoots missing one arm in DKR.

I never really read dc comics, but collected the cards and read a few stories and watched the JL/JLU cartoon (one of the best cartoons ever). I also never really kept up with hawkeye, but used the Avengers cartoon as my basis vs the 2. Realisticly they are the same, but I can't argue against Batman, not familiar with Deathstroke's trainer. Saw Deathstroke on Teen Titans and he seemed well trained. And would add that Hawkeye does seem to be a bit more hotheaded or rash, while green arrow is more batman like.

I've got to go with Green Arrow. They are pretty much equal with the bow, so this fight will come down to h2h skills. In that department Ollie has the edge since he was trained by much better instructors than Barton. Among them Batman, and Natas (the guy that trained Deathstroke).

I programmed in their stats into the deadliest warrior computer and it started to crunch the numbers, strangely it began to smoke. I rushed over and then I got a strange message that said consult the magic 8 ball, don't know if this helps. But seriously I see no clear cut advantage in a single one on one battle, in the new cartoon hawkeye seemed to fight on par with green arrow in JLU. I think what it boils down to is what they are fighting over or if it is a fight vs abiltiy contest. And if Green Arrow is a metahuman then I go with hawkeye, it is like the batman thing, humans without powers should be more honored. And if you throw in taskmaster they both lose, because he can copy any of their abilities bow or regular fighting. Also using the pym particles concept he could overpower green arrow, but then green arrow would be faster and hawkeye would have less of a defense. I think both of there strengths lie in the ninja concept more.

Sadly crossovers have little to no baring. Also one off events normally aren't used. To compare characters in terms of who will win then the only fair thing to do is compare consistant feats. Thats why Squirrel Girl may have defeated Terrax and Dr. Doom at a time but anyone in a serious Comic discussion can agree Terrax>Squirrel Girl and Dr. Doom>Squirrel girl.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong...but didn't Hawkeye prove to be the better archer in the JLA/AVENGERS crossover ? even Black Canary had a little crush on him to and Ollie was scared he was losing her ?

In ALMOST every case DC>Marvel counterparts. Don't get me wrong I LOVE marvel to death (after the DC revamp I like marvel more then DC) it's just DC characters are way over powered. Got to go with Ollie. He HAS to be better to survive cuz he has a lot more big guns to compete with in DC then hawkeye does in Matvel.

He's still Clint Barton, but the second he starts using super powers and stops just being the Avengers' sharpshooting archer, I feel like he stops being Hawkeye.

The bigger they are...

Don't get me wrong though. Hawkeye is my favorite Avenger. I love that he's an average guy that just trained intensely to become the master of his weapon. But when he uses Pym Particles, he stops being Hawkeye and becomes Goliath and that's a whole other fight then.

Yeah I see hat your saying about hand to hand , bit what I was saying was that in hawkeye blindfold 3 . He uses pun particles to grow really big in his hawkeye uniform

As Archers I'd rate them as equals. But after the arrows run out, I'd say Green Arrow, but only because he's been trained in hand to hand combat with Batman and he would show him how to fight dirty and win. Hawkeye has trained with Cap, but I'd pick Batman over Cap every time.

That's a tough fight. I think Green Arrow would win because of his unlimited resources.

No he cannot grow to any size but neither can Hawkeye without the help of Dr. Pym's chemicals. On the other hand Oliver Queen's powers, if any, remain unknown. It has been rumored that Green Arrow may in fact be a metahuman. The Department of Extranormal Operations has a classified dossier on Queen, wherein they indicate such a possibility, but as of yet, this information has not been confirmed nor denied. Besides you said Hawkeye not his Goliath persona , in any event size doesn't really matter, I am sure like me you have seen heroes defeat other characters bigger and more powerful than them all the time in both Marvel and DC Universes.

That is a tough one I am gonna have to say it would more than likely come out as a draw. It would seem after reading their skills and abilities in the DC Database and Marvel Wiki that they are both equally accurate with a bow and arrow and various other things as far as Acrobatics, hand to hand combat and ability with other weapons.
