Hey there, has anyone noticed we went from having Hulked Out Heroes to Thored Out Heroes and now from the looks of it we may have Iron Manned Out Heroes. I know everyone and there mother has an armored suit or has been Captain America! We've even seen quite a few take on hulk personas. Not many original Avengers left in the line-up. Are we going to see Reserved Out Heroes next! Just imagime a world full of Squirrel people or even people running around with bows! I mean I have subscriptioms amd I'm a sucker for comics but come on. The writers are writing these great scripts with recycled ideas and very little action. It's all backstory and drama. I can't be the only one feeling like we're being cheated here???

Oh and likewise, has anyone noticed the Terminator references on Marvel lately. Both Ultimate Spider-man and X-Factor use the qoute "Come with me if you want to live". LOL. They are recycling actual dialogoue now and not even original dialogue. It's from a movie. Speaking of movies, they are now adding teasers for the Ultimates in the back of Fear Itself. Taking up yet even more pages for a completely seperate reality. It seems like they are pushing Ultimate comics down our throats. Between the movies and cartoons having that feel and the subscriptions titles being cancelled to make room. I was extremely irritated when they stopped the Thunderbolts and retained all the Ultimates. Then they cut Venom?? It's like DC being all Green Lantern and Batman Incorporated. They have to be losing subscriptions.

Don't get me wrong I am enjoying the run. I am more iritated by the shortness of the stories. The artwork is designed to envelop the whole page making little room for dialogue. As well the run is nearing the 200 comic range with tie-ins. I'm glad to see the new takes on characters similar to what set my beloved 90's styled comics apart from previous comic ages. Just check out the new Modok and his ensuing role changes. As for DC I read both major companies as well as a couple indie titles. I don't see a really big difference in Marvel and DC, probably due to artist fraternization. Every run seems to mirror between companies. Marvel brings in Man-Thing and makes him go crazy and DC brings in Swamp-Thing and does likewise. With Constantine and Howard the Duck being the anti-hero consciences for the wild bayou beasts. Their storylines are totally themed alike. I love the comics, I just feel I am being made a consumer guinea pig. I guess ignorance is bliss though.

Aaaaaand that's why I read 25 or so Dc's and like, 5 Marvel's a month. HULKED OUT HEROES!?!$ really? Hulked out heroes... Planet Red Hulk? Spider Island? Right on the heels of IDW's "Infested" storyline? Just wait till they do the relaunch of their whole line... Because they can't come up with one original thought! Dc is much more "comic fans" making comics for fans. Used to be, Dc was story based, while Marvel had the better art, right? Now DC gets all of the great talent that doesn't want to work for Marvel. Arguably, Marvel has cooler characters, but I just got so sick of the books sucking, I slowly switched over the years. One of the only Marvel writers worth their salt is Jason Arron. He writes a good story. The 2.99 price cap, who came up with that? Action comics reached # 900, and what did Marvel do? Wolverine 900 and Deadpool 900. Seriously?!? Those guys came 30 and 50 years later!! Anyway, sorry for the rant, it's just a point of focused discord with me. Be well. T
