i love Wild Arms? what RPG's do you love?

Posted in Off Topic

It is one of my favorite series. Especially 3. sadly 4 wasn't so good. 5 was better but not as good as three. to much change...
But I love the character designs...their all in my roster of Figs to make.

We can hope but sadly we Americans are getting ripped off when it comes to RPGs as all companies think we want these days are FPS games.

I have a big soft spot for the Suikoden series. Four wasn't that great, but still not bad none the less. Still holding out for the faint hope that six will be released someday.

RPG is the game type for me from way back on the ps1 with chrono cross that came was fantastic !!.
after that I got into the final fantasy games (ps1 , 2 but aint played the ps3 versions yet).
at the moment on ps3 im playing Fallout 3 which I got so hooked on I bought the GOTY version also for the extra packs.

oblivion again fantastic game, had me hooked for months

valkyria chronicles was a bit diffrent than my normal style of gameing but man exclent, I tryed no2 for the psp but humm to small so hopeing the 3rd will be out on ps3.

the first rpg I played on the ps3 was enchanted arms which to be honist isnt a bad game(not the best, but definitly has a f.f. want to be style to it) stories not to bad ether.
I do have a few rpgs which I have yet to try (my ps3 has a small hard drive so can only hold so much data and have to deleat games when adding new ones) I have dragonage 1 and 2, danties inferno, darksiders , folklore and a few others to go at too.

Xenosaga, Wild arms, if we're going of platform games then Call of Cthulhu is one of my favorites. I love H.P. Lovecraft and I love the world he established in nineteen twenties Boston.

I'm to the point on New Vegas now I'm just trying to get the none gambling achievements. I have to do the DLCs again. I used to level up and start down at the bottom of the map and work from left to right then right to left moving upward. You find everything and and get tons of EXP.

I'm a big fan of the Fallout series. I've played Fallout 1 and 2 countless times. The PC version of Fallout: Tactics I still think was pretty fun (even if it was a little different). It really introduced companions in a different way.

Fallout 3 was a blast. Didn't get all the DLC though. I've just started playing Fallout New Vegas. It is fun. I really haven't done much in the main storyline, but I've done a ton of sidequests. I haven't even made it to Vegas yet, lol.

You can find dragon age: origins ultimate collection cheap (30.00 at kmart) and it has all the DLC in it on a 2nd disc. I heard the second wasn't as good.

Pkmn is one of the best RPGs out their! I have played every instalment till the last too. No money/ time.
I used to drive from pa ( like the mason dixion line) to nudlc for the rear
/ shiny giveaways! I also obviously love collecting.
Dragon age I only played the demon but it seemed real fun. I want to play one
First. Then get all the dl content. Then play two when all the dl is out.
SoM is one of the games like suikoden that I have always ment to play.
Well inlayed it as a kid but not enough to do much. I was to obsessed with
Chrono trigger at the time think it was so cool that a RPG was a set in old times,
Had robots and machines. Vampires time travel and was designed by Akira toriyama.
I loved dragon ball as well. But I have a bunch of games I buy and play when their is nothing good
On ps3'or xbox. Which is ally these days.

I'm addicted to Dragon Age origins right now. It makes me wish that they'd release more PC RPGs like Neverwinter Nights on xbox.

I liked Secret of Mana a lot for the SNES, and I like the one thats on gameboy or DS ( I forget) The weapon system was great in SoM and you could play with 3 people, and the music and environments were nice.

I liked Star Ocean 2 for playstation (or ps2?) I don't really remember much about it except that it was good enough to keep my interests, and the story/characters were good enough that I actually felt bad when that 1 town flooded.

my favorite RPG's are pokemon ones! Why? Just... everything about them! I like the character designs and names, land layouts are always nice, I LOVE collecting things, I love the breeding system (trying to get the best stats and spells on a baby pokemon) I like how there's different ways to get through the game as in [catch wide variety of pkmn and try to levle them all so you have variety in any fight] or [level the f*** out of 1 pokemon and speed through everything XD ] I love the extra stuff they put in, like making thoe berry foods and a secret fort in ruby/sapphire, or the underground mining thing for items and crystals, and being able to trade pokemon with other people, and items, even online to people around the world. I could go on and on lol... but I'm sure anyone that likes any game could say so much good stuff about their game!

hmmm I'm having trouble of thinking of any more that I like. I wish I had a big list of them to look at all the names, I'm sure there's more that I like.

Right now I'm playing an MMORPG called Dofus, have been playing it for over 5 years! But I guess that's different than a regular RPG.

I agree with you seph. I hated when they switched the battle systems up so dramatically between 3 and 4.
But the point of this thread was to see what people favorit RPG's were/are and why? not just wild arms. maybe I was not clear enough?

I only really liked the first Wild Arms. It is a real put off when a company has a system for a game that works and they change it. They changed it in while arms, it happened with final fantasy, front mission, fallout, and so many other games. These companies need to stick with what works.

I've only got the third one for PS2, but I never finished it. I didn't think it was a bad game, it just didn't capture my attention/imagination for whatever reason and I stopped playing it in favor of other games. The old west is a neat and unusual motif for a Japanese RPG series to have at any rate.
