THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

Posted in Off Topic

The Dark Knight Rises is the title of the third Chris Nolan Batman film. What do you guys think of the title? I for one love it. I'm wondering if it has a double meaning...

So just like everyone else my TV has been FLOODED with trailers for this film. Just like everyone else I will see it. But I have been thinking as an AVID Batman fan since before I could walk I still have never had this undying love for any of the Nolinverse films. I admit tgat they are VERY good movies but I am no way a nolinknight or whatever whimsical thing the fanboys call themselves so I began thinking where the problem....

After a looooong thought process I stumbled to a conclusion. The Nolan Batman films are in no way good Batman movies. Heck they arent even good Comic movies. They are indeed good films but just that. They are good films that happen to feature a really bad Batman. Take Batman begins for example. Could be perceived as a good action film but batman in it was very poor and made very little sense. The Dark Knight again was a bad Batman film. Great two-face film great Joker film BAAAD Batman film.

Overall parts about it are down right silly its dark violent grit is often times honestly over the top and too forced. It reminds me of Star Wars episode 4-6 the mass fan boy fan appeal and die hard love often blinds people to the truth of the stolen cliches poor acting and very poor editing. But because it captured our hearts and imaginations we put on our rose colored glasses and drink the kool-aid

Batwing maybe? Whatever it is I am almost 100% sure its on top of a shotting cart and the bottom half will not be seen in film.

Trailer was cool Here's my opinion based on the trailer....Bane will break Gordon (not Bats) and he also works for Ra's (Bane a member of the League of Shadows)

Yeah, that Bane picture has definitely sparked my interest into this film. Bane looks badass.

Actress Anne Hathaway will be wearing a comic book to silver screen faithful likeness of the Catwoman costume. The infamous cat burglar has the goggles, sexy leather costume, and whip. To be sure, Hathaway will fill in the rest. Eat your heart out Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry!

which sux cuz I was hoping we could get a nightwing if I had my way Jake shields would play nightwing

naw man, naw. if they added side kicks I think it would lose the reality factor of the movies, I'd like to see firefly or deadshot in one of the movies, but that's probably never gonna happen... let's all live with a little disappointment towards which characters are going to be in the movies and which ones we desperately wanted to be in the movies

Nolan said in an interview somewhere that the Joker would not be returning. Could have been misdirection though.

The Joker??? I'll just cross my fingers for that one. Regardless, I'm excited that JGL is in the film.

I could see J.G.L playing Blackmask only because Catwoman is in the movie and I was under the asumption that in the books the two of them have some serious history....so in the DKR movie I bet Catwoman will steal from Blackmask and Blackmask will hire Bane to kill her, and Batman who has been chasing this cat burglar will now have to save her.....and then recieve his HAPPY ENDING

I don't really see them getting someone like JGL to play Harvey Bullock. He just doesn't really fit the role.

Just caught the newest episode of Young Justice. It was guest starring Bane working alongside the young justice (enemy of my enemy style). I hope now that he was shown in a cartoon as being smart we can have Punstarr finally stop complaining that he's a mindless brute

Actually that was from Bronson not Gangs of New York. If you guys haven't seen Bronson, check it out...it's what originally got me thinking about Hardy for Bane.

That just means Mattel doesn't have to make a larger scale mold if he shows up in the movie masters line he will be just as tiny as the rest of them

That can be changed easily if they want him to be taller they will just give him shoes with very thick heels. This is commonly done in movies to make actors taller.

Yeah,
But I can't see that working to well in fight scenes.

We will see.
