toyfair 2010 marvel universe update.

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

while I don't know if most of you were waiting to see what one year later into this line was going to offer us as much as myself. but the itch of what was and wouldn't be added to my collection had my interest for today. so I checked out cool toy review and I saw the listings for the newest marvel universe figures and I must say I was happy with some what I saw and heard. but in the same breath very disappointed. as I saw no jessica drew version of spider woman listed for anytime soon. now I can understand if hasbro had to make a new sculpt as to why they would hold a figure off but when they have a figure mold already and all they have to do is repaint it (hasbro's favorite practice anyways btw) why would this figure would not be offered anytime soon. I mean it's not like she is a minor character in marvel/bendis age of comics. but blah.... sorry about that rant guys but here I want a company to do what they do best and repaint a figure and they can't even do that... oh well I smell my own custom jessica drew spider woman then. but what was some of your faves and or disappointments after this listing ?

Its not fragile at all, you could put it in a sock and beat someone with it and still play with it! I've only picked up a few IM2 figures but they are really well made.

The card behind it said Ironman 2 so maybe it has something to do with the movie.

yeah the galactus looks nice in the showroom pics but looks a little weird in the press photos though... the archangel looks nice though for 3 3/4 scale.

as for hasbros's marvel legends I'm not to sure what to say about the way they took the line. like I said the two packs had a few nice figures to offer (like nick fury except why he has no white temple patches is beyond me but I like the head sculpt) and there were a few figures scattered into their regular lines that were nice but overall toybiz had all the best figures in this series. I never really grabbed much of the hasbro marvel legends just due to the fact nothing really impressed me much. not saying the 3 3/4 th scale hit me as the best figures out there ( unfortunately marvel wise not counting marvel selects they are the only figures out there) that could contribute to the fact why I only own a few.( that comic 2pack hulk from the 3 3/4th line imo has the best face sculpt so far so I had to nab that one) but overall I would have to say that I'm all one for getting a nice sculpt of my fave superheroes no matter the scale.if done right they can have my cash. except when it comes to guys like Dr.Doom Nick fury and spider-woman then I would pretty much buy anything at that point.

They covered the show on the news but only showed the fancy stuff. All the toy makers are claiming to be aiming the toys at being more affordable.

The only new things I've seen from the new Toy Fair pictures that really interest me are the Galactus Deluxe Set and 1 or 2 MU figs.
Go back to legends please, Or give up the license.

I agree that this is another thing that hasbro should be working on on putting out.I mean they did up a couple of real nice pieces like the figures in the two packs.

I wish they'd focus more on the Legends line personally. The Universe line is cool and all, but I'd rather have more Legends.
