I REALLY hate to say it but this trailer gave me a special feeling, especially the end when you see a G1 style face on the robot...who I swear to god is unicron.
Does anyone know what happened to Barricade at the end of the first movie?, I remember him driving towards the final battle ( or maybe away from the fight?? ) but he should still be around ? he obviously didn't fight so where is he and why did he not show up in the second movie ? just curious..he was one of my favorites in the movie
That is one of the issues with G1 toys, cartoons, and the comics. There is like no sense of scale. At least in the newer g1 comics that are out (a reboot of g1) they explain it via use of nano technology to change sizes.
Question? in the original Transformers animated movie if I'm correct at one point Unicron a.k.a (transforming Galactus) is he not trying to devour Cybertron, and when he is I think I remember him being slightly smaller, would he not be around the size of our moon? because I swear there's an episode where Cybertron was brought to earth (if you saw the episode you know what I'm talking about) and Cybertron was tiny...so what I'm saying is if I'm right about what I saw in the cartoon then I can completly agree this is UNICRON......."bring forth Galvatron"
That actually sounds pretty badas$. Definitely something that would work better in an animated series since you could spend more time exploring all of the ideas and not be restricted by a SFX budget.
lol. My fan comic doesn't have humans in it until volume 3 and then the transformers arrive using humanoid decoys (wrongly based on martian life they find remains of) and this starts a small war that inspires HG wells as he fights to write war of the worlds. The aftermath creates an arms race as everyone races to get a hold of the alien tech, including some full sized transformers, and this goes on until international law bans the machines (not that it is followed). Eventually others arrive and the war starts and then it gets into primus and unicron reviving and what not. Probably be a better cartoon series than a movie series.
Shockwave in the comics was way more dangerous than in the cartoon, then again so was megatron and starscream. Man I wish I'd farmed around my transformers fan comic as a movie years ago, its way more amazing that this lol. And there is enough material for like 2 movies even before humans appear. someone made a good poiint on another forum that the figure in the preview could be Alpha Trion and it would make some sense with that V shaped crest on his head.
Supposed to be but it has been rumored there is another villian much larger then Shockwave.
That'd be good. Shockwave is pretty underwhelming at best. Yeah I don't like the idea of shockwave as main baddie at all and I'm a huge shockwave fan. But not as the main villian
I actually liked that version better than the giant armada one. Frankly they should have reissued him to be like the Primus figure wher ehe's an entire planet and not just half on one.
Unicron is supposed to be planet sized but that doesn't mean anything to Bay, he didn't even use teh right model of japanese planes in Pearl Harbor. I'm just going by the goatee/mustache and color scheme.
That'd be good. Shockwave is pretty underwhelming at best.

Also that ship looks an awful lot like the Ark.
