X-men first class - thoughts ?

I love this movie and don't want to miss it in any ways ., Such flicks always most awaited to me and I love to enjoy them with a new zeal . When I enjoyed this part I met with the endeavor for it.

I really liked it. I loved the wolverine cameo. I loved Magneto. The only thing I didn't really like was the way Angel is portrayed. I think it's rather stupid actually.

Aside from all the wonderful things you guys said, I have a few comments on the movie.

1. The part where Magneto disables Professor X, kinda sucks cause in the comics Magneto used a spear (right??). That was so much cooler!!

2. Professor X should have been bald after the first use of Cerebro. LOL imagine James McAvoy bald =))

3. !!!SPOILER ALERT!! There was no post credits scene!!!!

Aside from these, THE MOVIE WAS AWESOME! The continuity issues don't matter... It's a movie anyway.

I saw X-Men: First Class a few weeks ago and just thought I'd toss in my two cents. First off I've seen all the X-Men movies and I've been a fan since I was kid, you could say I know the characters pretty well. I really enjoyed James McAvoy as Charles Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Eric Lensherr. Their friendship really made this film. I would've preferred that film focus more on this, it would really give the story some weight. As it stands it was good but again it could've been excellent. Some of the characters were unnecessary (Angel, Darwin, Riptide?) and just added to the flashiness of the movie which it could've done without.

Overall though the movie was quite enjoyable and probably my favorite entry in the X-Men franchise. It had a great 60's feel to it which I really enjoyed. I hope that in the future they can move into the 70's and 80's era of the comics with such finesse. I would argue that the whole rewriting the past was a bit alarming but whatever it's just a movie, and were dealing with fictional characters with superpowers. I like that they decided to "Pre-boot" the franchise as this opens doors for them to go in some very interesting directions in the future. I'm going to give X-Men: First Class a 90 out of 100.

I enjoyed it. I liked to think of that team as sort of the Beta team Xavier puts together because he needs to rather than the team he chooses later on. Mags and X were really perfectly cast and played in this flick. Great performances from both actors. The beginning stuff with Magneto before he meets Chuck I could have watched all day long.

Was a little irritated at Moira McTaggert not being Scottish and Banshee not being Irish. (Especially since she was already Scottish in the turd movie) but not so much that it was distracting or anything. I felt the Angel girl was a complete waste of time and space. Ooo, she has bug wings and spits fire balls? LAAAAAAME.

I kinda liked Bacon as Seabass Shaw, but I don't think they did his powers right. To my knowledge, Shaw converts kinetic energy into raw strength. So he could be hit by a train and then hit some in the face with the power of a locomotive. In this movie, he seemed to absorb energy and then be able to redirect it as explosive energy. They basically gave him Bishop's powers now that I think about it.
