Lol, okay. :-) Yeah my friends said I didn't seem like I'd be into wrestling. :-P
Of course I grew up knowing Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, & Sargent Slaughter back then it was pretty kid freindly. Glad that WWE is going back or trying go back to that.
So anyway my favs of course now
DX, JoMo, Cena, & Mysterio guess typical ones, & female wrestler is Phoenix she actually looks like a wrestler and not a pinup girl like the rest well also that Canadian lady forget her name Sasha or something like that.
Ones I don't like Miz, Alberto Del rio, Cody Rhodes, Shamus.. Um so far still meed to get caught up on the latests Raw & Smackdown.

I've been so out of wrestling lately but I did get into it for a while. I like that its has a lot of drama and comedy especially loved DX!! I was so glad to see them live and win the Tag Team right before Shawn retired. :-) Who really get me watching was Jeff Hardy back when he was in the WWE then I saw and absolutely loved John Morrison even got to meet him a couple years ago. He was so sweet signed my artwork of him that was featured in last June's WWE Magazine! But now he's gone and the shows went to cable so don't have much opportunity to catch the latests eps. :-(

Sadly I lost touch with it all a couple years ago, I kinda just fell out with it. Too many reccuring storylines, people not being used properly and such. I still watch every now and then, usually Mania and royal rumble, Rumble was always my favourite!!

Exactly!!! all that potential wasted just so he could be part of the best faction ever in the wwe.

I could have seen him as a solid IC champion. But being part of DX doesn't sound too shabby to me! Great to see all of them together last night. Man, I'd be stoked to have the Outlawz have another run at tag team gold in the WWE. It's not like tag teams are doing anything important anyway.

what the hell is wrong with you

Cody Rhodes = absolute tool!!

X-pac = because he was the 123 kid all young and full of talent but humble with it, I kinda rooted for him for a bit but then he became X-Pac and yes while he was an integral part of DX at the time, he was a totally different guy than I was used to, I didn't like him going from mild mannered kid to big man with big attitude, plus any guy who does that to another guy is just wrong!! (bronco buster).

you guys crack me up.
not a fan of Cody Rhodes, but he is slowly coming into his own. The character is developing and I wouldn't be surprised to see him as champion down the line. still won't be a fan though.

Never been a fan of Sean Waltman aka X-Pac aka Syxx aka 1-2-3 Kid. Full of talent, promising, never amounted to much, not notable championship reigns, talked a lot but never mattered. nothing he did warranted his big mouth to me. he was very athletic and could have been great, but fizzled. much like Scott Hall. Hall had size, had the look, had mic skills, but ultimately succumed to the almighty bottle and worse. at least Nash was smart enough to stay away from that.

Jake was the first cerebral-based wrestler, the thinking man. creepy, soft-spoken, dangerous. the guy looked like an ice-cold killer. loved him!
Rude was amazing!
ECW Raven was groundbreaking, as was the entire promotion during their heyday. pushed the envelope with his feud with sandman, dreamer, etc. good stuff.
I, like you, loved Gangrel and thought they could have done something special with him.
Stone Cold can easliy be considered the best ever. loved him, wish we'd see him again. never say never!

Man, I have always loved Rumble. Mania is their big show, but Rumble was always entertaining to me. WCW had something similar with 3 rings and I thought the chaos was superb entertainment!

HBK and Razor were the first, and I really loved their ladder matches. Rock and HHH had some classics, and I particularly remember their ladder match as being fantastic. The 90's TCL matches with Edge & Christian, the Dudleys, Jericho, those were epic. The Money in the Bank matches have kind of replace the ladder match. All thanks to HBK and Razor.

Macho vs Steamboat, WM 3, still considered one of the greatest matches ever. Still cited as inspiration to wrestlers today. I think about that match and I think about HBK vs Hart Ironman match. I think about Taker vs HBK Streak vs Career. I think about Joe vs Styles vs Daniels first triple threat match. hbk vs angle. rock vs austin. hogan vs warrior.

Loved the list! Snake, Rude, and Steamboat don't get enough credit for their mic work and in-ring work. Just a joy to watch! Andre is what you expect when you think of wrestling - larger than life personas and personalities. I'll admit, I was a Goldberg fan during his undefeated run. I just didn't know where they were going with him, and its not like he could win forever. Undertaker is in a class of his own, legendary. Sting continues to entertain, great in-ring and great on the mic. Big fan of his!
Goldust creeped me out, but his run with Booker T and the tourettes was kind of funny. Not a big X-Pac (or any of his incarnations). Always hated Bob Backlund (I think he may be mentally insane). HATED Yokozuna at the time, but a guy his size moving the way he did and doing the things he did is rare, even now. Kind of paved the way for the bigger guys, Viscera, Rikishi, etc.

1. Great choices. Can't argue with that!
2. LOL I can see why anyone would not like these guys, but I gotta say, Gangrel had a great angle with Edge and Christian. Viscera was interesting when he was part of the Ministry (also as King Mabel back in the 80's). Typhoon will always have a special place to kiss my arse when he turned on Hogan and joined Earthquake! Never dug X-Pac. Not a fan of the McMahon's, but I will say the Shane was a lot more athletic that he looked, and absolutely fearless.
3. LMFAO Repo Man and IRS were guys you just loved to hate. Like Brooklyn Brawler, Doink the Clown, Duke the Dumpster, Bastion Booger, Kamala. List goes on!

Best Technical Wrestlers:
1. Kurt Angle - what all wrestlers should strive to be in the ring. may not have started out as the most entertaining, but was always on point and crisp. even now, he's lost a step or two, but still a joy to see him do his thing.
2. Curt Hennig - Mr. Perfect. To say he was cocky would be an understatement, but he backed up every word. He called himself perfect and he's about the closest you can get to being perfect in the ring. great story teller, clean, crisp movement. loved him, miss him, wish we still had him.
3. Chris Benoit - I in no way, shape, or form, condone what he did outside of the ring. but in ring, he was the most intense competitor I have ever seen. like dynamite kid, british bulldog, bret hart, and an angry shawn michaels rolled up, shrunk down, and put into a canadien monster. unrelenting, fierce.
4. Dean Malenko - fluid, pure, and his cruiserweight battles with Rey, Benoit, Guererro, Jericho, Saturn are the stuff of legend. loved watching him.
5. Bret Hart - in his prime, the best. not the most entertaining in ring, but every move had a purpose. he took apart his opponents in a way that was both graceful and brutal. really would have loved to see him have a go at Angle in their primes.

Honorable mentions - HBK, Jericho, Ringmaster (pre-Stone Cold), Ted Dibiase, Macho vs Steamboat (the match, not the guys), Owen (might have been technically better than Bret, but didn't like him as much as I did Bret), Bulldog, Samoa Joe (seen him in person, dude can go), Eddie, Saturn, Chavo, Punk, Danielson (Daniel Bryan), McGuinness (Desmond Wolfe), AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels

I thought this would be a good time to tell you the obscure guys I thought were pretty cool.

Boogeyman - never took him serious, don't think he took himself seriously, and when he team with Kane, it was entertainment magic!
Crash Holly - his run with the hardcore championship was a precursor to today's funny men (Santino, Eric Young)
Stevie Richards in Right to Censor - this was absolute money. during a time period of gang wars and factions, these guys made a great heel group. I loved to hate them,
Wayland Mercy - not sure if I'm spelling this correctly, but the guy gave me the creeps
Johnny B. Badd - Marc Mero's little richard impersonation. very funny!
Shockmaster - if you've never heard of him, youtube it. Probably the most epic failiure ever.
William Regal as a Man's Man - seriously. probably one of the worst ideas for a gimmick ever. and its sad because regal can go.

Love:
1. Hulk Hogan. The name is synonymous with wrestling. I don't think you could have gone through the 80's and the 90's without having an idea of who he was. You want the ultimate babyface? He was it. Training. Prayers. Vitamins. Man, I bought into all of that! Still have my size youth small Hulk Rules jacket! And then you want to talk mainstream? Hulk was the first true crossover star. He had mainstream appeal. Rocky. Night show appearances. Terrible 80's movies. And that doesn't even cover what could have been one of the most monumental transitions in wrestling history with the nWo. The lines of what was real and what wasn't blurred. Wrestling became relatable. Fans became rabid. Stars became legendary. And Hogan was at the helm. He helped push the need for change. It wasn't black and white anymore, it wasn't good guy versus bad guy. All of a sudden, it was cool to cheer for the bad guys. I'd argue that if it wasn't for the nWo, there would be no Stone Cold, no Rock, and no DX. And for him to close out his career as a babyface again, that was awesome to see as a fan!
2. The Rock. The next step in that same limelight of Hogan. Major "It" factor. All the charisma in the world. Money on the mic. Never the greatest technical wrestler, but athletically head and shoulders above his peers (and boy did he have a great class to work with!!!). I was a fan when he arrived as Rocky Maivia, I thought his size and mobility was special, but I could never understand why everyone hated him. Maybe it was his smile. Maybe he was too good, too soon. I don't know. But I'll tell you, when he broke through, when he joined the Nation and repackaged himself as The Rock, I was right there with him. Frustrated, talented, and hungry, kicking @$$, taking names, and talking trash the entire way. Every feud he was involved in kept you glued. Talking trash with the Hurricane. The rivlary with Stone Cold. The legendary battles with Triple H and DX. Bringing it to the Undertaker. Laying the smack down on Kane. Headlining Wrestlemania with Hogan. The list goes on and on. Love him or hate him, you know who he is. You've seen his face, most likely seen him in a movie, and you know he's a product of WWE. My personal favorite and totally interchangeable with the #1 spot.
3. Tie - Stone Cold/Triple H/Undertaker/HBK/Y2J/Edge/Kane. These guys were cut from the same mold. May have approached the top spots differently (I'm sure haters will refer to Triple H's marriage to Stephanie as the only reason he's a top guy), but ended up on top nonetheless. Great on the mic, flawless in the ring, fearless, entertaining, give their absolute all in everything they did. And at the height of each of their popularities, they were on par with the 2 great ones!

Everything after 1990 is trash. The 80s was the golden era of wrestling with Hulk and the heroes vs villains and no in between characters.

oh my, how could I forget junk yard dog, he was awesome. also liked booker t, hunter hurst helmsley (triple H) and tatanka. been a while so its hard to remember everyone.

I still think some of my favorite matches were shawn michaels vs razor ramone in their ladder matches. and loved macho man vs ricky the dragon steamboat matches. also all the ultimate warrior matches.

wrestlemania's were awesome, but I always loved the royal rumble.
